Andrade ready to step in and Face Golovkin on May 5

What did Canelo do to earn his shot. What did Manroe do to earn his shot?

 

Canelo is a cash cow and beat Cotto. Jermall has fought nobody outside of a past it Trout and Andrade is not known and both are new to the division.

He fought Monroe because Cotto refused to fight him.

Jermall will get comprehensively beaten by Billy Joe Saunders when/if that fight happens even though he doesn't deserve anything yet.

 

I still don't see why he would need to be afraid of Canelo now, even with "long-term" PED effects lingering after cycling & testing positive - unless the suspicion is that he DIDN'T use them for the first encounter? Is anybody really suggesting that? Canelo just all of a sudden in between Golovkin I and II discovered clenbuterol?

So if not, if the assumption is that he used it (and got away with it) last time, what does Golovkin have to worry about? He already fought him (presumably) dirty, so why not go through with the rematch when at least he'll be presumably less dirty, with having almost had 2 months' worth of detox anyway (necessitated by the all the heat and scrutiny on him)?

 

Makes sense. I don't think much of Demetrius' ring IQ but this right here is a smart move.

 

Well it certainly doesn’t improve one as a fighter but imo all this was geared toward him “growing”into a Middleweight,it’s the punch resistance I’d like to know about.
I’m not sure it’ll go ahead now anyway but I still wanna see it as you’re right cause rematch’s often go the same way as before.
