    -from front page.

"Kessler is far better, a lot better. Technically, mechanically, everything. Bute is just an awkward boxer. Bute is a very different fighter to Kessler altogether. He's not as exciting as Kessler, and he doesn't fight as hard. I would put Kessler at the very top of the 168-pound division right now." (note, this interview took place the day before Kessler's upset loss to Andre Ward)

Interesting this. Many peoples estimation of Kessler went down after Sat...with some happy to just completely write him off as never being as good as advertised. I dont want to say we didnt see the best Kessler(because that takes away too much away from Ward and this isnt an excuse)..but i feel Kessler can give more than people think.

Both Bute and Kessler were overrated imo. Overrated doesn't mean they are no good. I mean other than Calzaghe (and he lost), who had Kessler faced?. Bute... he got almost KO'd by Andrade (who got cheated a bit). What else...

Well he has met both boxers so even if he's trying to play games, he would be the one to compare them.
BTW Kessler and Bute was/are legitimate world champion by todays standards, and the general forum might have overrated Kessler, but now I think he's getting the all the low blows for his performance against Ward, so it evens out for him IMO

To Andrade, everyone is superior. In reality both Bute and Kessler are not that great.

Andrade like Margo is a fighter that will test your balls. If your not that tough they will beat you, even if the fighter is more talented, IE Cotto. Andrade I dont think is playing mind games, I think that he truely believes his comments.

As far as the fight goes, My mind is telling me that Bute learned from the first fight and will fight abit smarter in the rematch, but seeing the way that he finished the first fight or I should say didnt finish the fight my heart is telling me that he will fall sooner in the rematch.

I have to go with my head and say Bute wins a UD something like 116-112

If Kessler wasnt hungry and proud he would and could have quit. Kessler isnt past his best, he was just confused, and didnt know what to do vs Ward.

No, Kessler's definitely past his best. But, he definitely was confused by Ward as well. Kessler can't deal with speed and slickness. Ward's fast jab was what made the fight. Kessler couldn't get past it. And in a rematch Kessler probably gets stopped.

So andrade i guess would say what he said because he got the crap kicked out of him by kessler, but was slapped all night by bute.

andrade kessler was a domination, it was amazing that andrade never hit the floor. he ate power shot after power shot - the stats were crazy. but you could see kessler wearing him down even though no KO.

Bute has and always will lack natural power. andrade walked through everything bute could throw. bute is as quick as kessler if not quicker, and is an incredible and versatile boxer, but he is chinny.

Bute UD, he's too quick for andrade. unless andrade backs him up all night. then maybe he'll catch bute.

love 'em both, but Go Bute!

The problem with Kessler when he fight good fighter he is too much predictable, just jabing and doing 1-2 all the time, he cant dance and cant fight inside like Tyson he seem scared which is normal i think... Bute can do everything in the ring, dance, jab, left, right, uppercut he is so slick, Andrade will have a broken jaw in his rematch.

Despite his loss to Ward, Kessler IS still one of the best 160lbers in the world. Very few could have done to Kessler what Ward did.

Let's be reasonable...in the pure skill department, you have 4 fighters that stand out at 168lbs, Ward-Dirrell-Kessler & Bute. Their skills aren't overrated at all and whether they win or lose doesn't take that away..

Now if you've watched many Kessler fights before, you know he wasn't having a good night and it wasn't all because of Ward..no way ! Whether he didn't compete enough in the last 2 years, or if he underestimated Ward and didn't train accordingly...those things are all debatable. Kessler is better than what he showed in the Ward fight and it takes nothing away from Ward and his own merit.

Now Bute has faced decent competition many fights ago... No one will ever say he's better than Calzaghe but the man has good tools in the ring. Andrade looked like a limited sparring partner for 10 of the 12 rounds last time and now Bute is overrated ? Not really...

No one is overrated....there's just an abundance of pure talent right now at 168 and someone has to lose for someone to win..that's all !!

Boxing being boxing...anything is possible at any time... Isn't the limited WBC champ Carl Froch riding off a real loss in most people's minds + a very late and lucky TKO when he was clearly outboxed the entire night ?

That guy IS OVERRATED..cause his skills won't allow him to stay on top !!

I think he's right. Bute is overrated. Wouldn't be surprised if Andrade knocks him out again - hopefully they don't have another of those corrupt Canadian refs to rescue him this time.
