Have watched it back, thought tactically it was so poor, granted the Ref was an absolute joke but still. Ingle should have known, a. the officials would be against them, and b. Andrade would be cuddling if he got caught. It seemed Williams' was absolutely clueless what to do with this. He had him rocked a couple of time and really could have took advantage. The other thing they got badly wrong, Andrade was always liable to try and start quickly, the straight walking in "drawing him into a fight" shouldn't have been engaged for the first 1/4 of the fight whilst Andrade had full gas. Williams showed he is one hard ******* and can bang. He can win a world title for sure and against someone less shrewd I think he does spangle them.
It certainly looks that way now but back then he was dangerous and until his lame performance against Alvarez I think most still rated him, he was unlucky against Dirrell.
I've only seen him about 5 times and he's lost to all the non-puddings he has faced. What's his best win? Öner is also a fanny!
I think the way in which he had been built up before the Jnr fight and the belts he was fighting for and winning since that defeat built him up in the eyes of many, add to that the fact that the Dirrell fight was so close and unlucky with the TD and you can kind of see why he was seen as a potential player in the division. He's been shown up now though, something which makes Jnrs KO less impressive, he was selected for the WBSS for a reason though, he was considered a threat.
A lot of boxers are built up just like millions of products are marketed. I had a friend who bought a hoover for £600. It packed in after a couple of months. I would rather judge a boxer by how he has faired against a certain level of opposition. Surely a good boxer should beat somebody good at some point in time.
That's why he's not a very good boxer, as we have now had confirmed thanks to his performances whenever he's stepped up. I think it's over for Yildrim now in terms of being anything more than a stepping stone.
Look at who he fought between Eubank and Dirrell losses. He was always a bluffer. He and his team certainly maximised his earning potential. I can understand boxing low level opposition until you get put into a bout the level the Eubank Jr one was, but a boxing peeve of mine is boxers who make a name for themselves by losing to decent opposition. Like Eric Molina.
