andrade would care less about taking pavlik's right hand away. standing there and letting kelly tee off on you, no matter what you throw back, has never been the recipe to beat kelly and i don't think it would work here either despite andrade's size.
Anyone who saw the Pryor fight knows this will not be competitive, even if Pavlik is only as good as he was against Lopez.
Pavlik would feast on Andrade especially since he unfortunately has looked pretty awful against Lucas and Pryor Jr.
:good It would be a case of "How long can Andrade's chin keep him upright?". It would look similar to Kessler-Andrade but sadder and more brutal as Librado is a shell of who he was then.
Yes, I do think Andrade is a bit over it - too many brutal fights... But that is ok. I still want to see it and it would still be a real test of Pavlik. Andrade is still a good gatekeeper to the division.
Sorry to burst your bubble, man. This will not be a prolonged war of attrition. It will be a few rounds of intense trading, but over before you know it (unless the once great-finishing Pavlik is still in need of pugilistic Viagara and slows to a crawl after the initial dust-up, and it stretches out into a lopsided jab-happy decision win for Kelly).
This fight would be like a novelty of seeing how much punishment Andrade can take and stay on his feet.
If Pavlik looks better than Bute did that would send a message to all 168lbers. Andrade has been on the slide, but he always comes to fight. Pavlik better be in the best shape for Bute. Actually a fight with Andrade would be Kelly's type of fight.
Because styles make fights there was a time when I dreaded seeing this one get made. Back then I thought Pavlik would stop Andrade by very late TKO in a bloody war of attrition that would leave both fighters seriously damaged. Try to imagine what Pavlik/Miranda would have looked like if Edison at his best was about one notch higher up the food chain! Now days I do not think this fight would be all that competitive. I think Pavlik would settle in and box Andrade's ears off for 9 or 10 somewhat boring rounds, and then lay an old fashioned Kelly Pavlik, change your life forever, finish on Andrade. Fighting this Cunningham character is the right thing to do at this point. Although older, he is much fresher than Librado, and he is a lefty. He doesn't have any wins worth bragging about, but against the level of competition he's been fighting he looks like a stone cold killer. How much this fight does for KP depends a lot on Cunningham's temperment. Will he get cracked early and freeze up like Rubio? Will he be content with stinking the joint up via a poor imitation of BHop like Lopez? Or, will he come to fight and put forth his best effort?
