Agree with a southpaw tho. After 450+ fights Golovkin shouldn’t really care about that unless facing elite operator but he didn’t have a camp for a fight with one.

 

The two mandos are fine.

Out of Spike and Andrade one is a former title holder, unbeaten and a top 5 in his weight class, the other is Spike.

 

Agree, Andrade has held titles but they’re both equally useless for Golovkin. They’re both “stay busy” fights, both would end the same. So why pick the uncomfortable one - southpaw runner. Just because he’s been a champ in lower devisions?
Would he get extra brownie points for that? No, he’d just get blamed for picking a smaller guy. If gets the stick no matter what he does, might as well think about himself.

Again, I’m totally not ok with Golovkin fighting Spike, but he needs to fight someone and at this point there must be “why not” attitude in camp GGG.
