Is there any legitimate reason why he would fight Spike instead of Andrande?

Andrande is obviously better and would be a good warm up opponent before Saunders. Also , Brook moved up two weight classes to fight him , but he can't move up just one to fight Ramirez , which is a much lesser challenge than what Brook took on?
This is the same guy who pestered and chased a retired Carl Froch , but now he isn't prepared to do what he expected others to do.. This situation is making GGG look like a coddled sissy boy if you ask me. A bully who likes taking on the weakest links.

 

I said Andrade is a better fight and better option than the likes of Spike.

Golovkin fought Canelo, he signed for a rematch, so in my opinion people can't start saying Golovkin is frightened to fight Andrade or is taking the easy option because nobody knows what is happening, it's absolutely ridiculous.

Talk about jumping the gun and basically making things up, we don't know all the details yet.

We are a month away from the date, the April 18th hearing is ridiculous, its leaves everything up in the air and nothing can be done yet.

Golovkin can't agree to fight anybody else until Canelo is banned and that fight and contract are cancelled.

Let's see what happens then we can make judgements.

 

Has the Canelo fight been officially cancelled? Is that Off? Officially?

I haven't read it is off yet, very strong rumours, refunds being given but as far as I can see GG is still under a contract to fight Canelo so how can he agree to another fight?

And the audacity of boxing fans to start digging out Golovkin when nothing has been decided or clarified and this whole situation was caused by Canelo, if he didn't fail tests we would have a definite fight.

Whatever Golovkin decides to do, it will not be as bad as failing drug tests.

The absolute bias, agenda driven rubbish some of you spill is just embarrassing.

 

The fight got officially canned yesterday and Spike is on the cusp of signing the contract 4 weeks out.

We know this now (the public) , but behind the scenes both parties knew what was happening , which is why team GGG filed an application last week to host a fight in the MGM Grand on May 5th.

Its not like he has a week to scramble around to find an opponent , in which case Spike would be perfectly acceptable , but he's known for over a month and better guys than Spike have come forward ready to fill in.
You make it soumd like people who want to see a more competitive fight are some sort of knuckle dragging , mouth breathers..
GGG is a tough guy , he can handle a harder fight against Andrande ffs.

 

He will will always try to spin the situation to make Golovkin look like the bad guy just like he did with Klitschko for years. Guy is a complete joke of a poster. Best just to ridicule and shame him as opposed to actually trying to reason with his bizarre hate fueled nonsense.

 

And before any of you start talking about "easy options" Let me refresh your memory..

There was a Middleweight WBC Champion, refused point blank to fight his mandatory, vacated his belt and went and fought LIAM SMITH.

I never heard any of you say "well he took an easy option" or "he took the easy route".. My memory recalls you lot saying "smart business move".

This is just Andrades way of trying to talk his way into a fight via social media. Its why he tagged Golovkin in it. It's a pretty lame attempt. Maybe some activity against legitimate opponents will get you a mandatory shot. This, however, is just lame. Talk is cheap. I wouldn't mind it personally but I can't say its a stain on GGG that it won't happen. That's just dumb. BJS is probably the focus now after May... So who cares about Andrade?

 

Andrade is the better fighter but Spike is the easier fight to make.
Look at how many issues Andrade has had, why risk it?

I never said any of those things and was always critical of Canelo and his padded resume full of ridiculous catchweights. Funny how i was never called a anti Mexican or a hater then , because its ok to bash anybody on here as long as they are not from EE

The hypocrisy on here sometimes is just outstanding.

Canelo fails a drug test and ruins the rematch and these morons suddenly become tainted meat experts and spend 2 weeks constantly defending him, then when Canelo is strongly rumoured to be on the road to a ban suddenly Golovkins choice of late opponent is a BIGGER ISSUE.

All I ask is for a little bit of consistency and maybe a slice of honesty, is that too much to ask.
