Two slick southpaws but one holds all the athletic advantages. Andrade is active so he will be sharp and he will be coming in the ring as the champ. Do you agree? Or do you think BJS will claim back the title?
Nicely worded question; no disrespect and gracious to both fighters whilst giving an opinion before asking. Anyway--without tune-ups-the notoriously inactive Saunders will lose I concur. With one or two warm up fights however, I fancy Saunders by a thin margin. Probably due to experience in title fights and greater mobility. (Didn't mean to seem patronising, but apart from the politeness bit--I also loath it when posters put 'discuss'...without putting THEIR own opinion up first)
Thank you for compliment, didn’t sound patronising to me. Good comment too, I couldn’t say you are wrong tbh
This is one fight im not even willing to bet on because I really see it alot closer than the other middleweight fights
I'm fancying BJS by one or two rounds. I think BJS is the guy who is more up for a proper war if needed. Andrade is a great boxer but I don't see him as one of those guys who has that anger, mean edge in him like BJS. You always know Billy Joe will give it blood sweat and tears if he has to. Andrade doesn't give me that impression. Up close BJS has the advantage and he's definitely got better power in his shots. At distance I have no idea who is better. It's very close between them on that side of things. As for stamina, yeah I agree Andrade has the edge there. But at the same time, Billy Joe has real good intent in his punches whereas I see Andrade a little more of a slapper (I'm not saying he is one, but he doesn't put as much energy in his punches as BJS does), so I expect the stamina factor to be cancelled out. As long as BJS turns up in good shape, he'll edge the fight on points. And I wouldn't rule out knockdowns here. Remember, Andrade came from light-middle and he's quite a tall guy for his weight. So I don't expect him to have a big stocky body like most of the other middleweights and that could cause him problems against the elite of the division if they can pin him down.
Andrade will beat the brakes off BJS. BJS was set to make $2.3 million and Andrade got $800,000 for his late replacement. Not sure what it will be now with the title switched.
Andrade is definitely making up for lost time. If you sign with Hearn you get to stay active. Good thing he bought out his contract from Banner promotions.
