No, I wasn't saying you're biased, I'm saying you don't know what the hell you're talking about. Stick to pro boxing, if the Olympics aren't the style or system you like. My goal is to go to the Olympics, so in 4 years (when I'm 24, so I'll be old, according to you, too); I'd be beating some kids who are real fighters trying to turn pro.

 

I thought Molina simply got outclassed. He seems like a nice kid, but I wonder if he has the physical tools to compete at the world amateur level.

 

He did get outclassed by someone more experienced internationally than him. He's still a kid; same as Rau'shee Warren was in 2004. Rau'shee decided to stay amateur after talking to Andre Ward and Dirrell, it might not be a bad idea for Molina either till he matures more.

Georgiev boxed fantastically against Molina, the 4th round especially was a pleasure to watch.

 

He schooled that poor kid.

 

Andrade looked a bit messy but I thought he won clearer than that.

Olympic scoring isnt a whole let better now than it was before they changed it. People still make mistakes and having 1 second to react can make it easy to miss.

 

..............I also disagree Freddy; what about Cuba, for example? They have no option to turn pro. Therefore, the Olympics marks the pinnacle of what they can do. As a result, they get very good at the amateur way of doing things. If everyone else were to abandon the idea of the Games after one go, the level of competition for the Cubas of the world would plummet.

 

if you make it (which i doubt, no disrespect intended), it'll be your first time, not 2nd or 3rd...

boxing is boxing, amateur boxing is not a sport within itself, so i feel that you should only be able to compete in the games once....cause a lot of it that i've seen lateley is better politicians (not fighters) winning the fights.....

 

Yeah; well, amateur boxing is boxing, not fighting. It's not the style that works for it. If you prefer brawls and what not; then watch the Golden Gloves.

You had to see the fight to understand. It wasn't indicative of it, it was a rough ass fight with an awkward opponent.
