Both undefeated fighters, Grigorian 14-0 with 3 coming by way of KO. Otabek Kholmatov 9 wins, all 9 by KO.

 

Round 1 Kholmatov 10-9

Kholmatov out fast, establishes the jab, controlling range quite well in his southpaw stance. Grigoryan has a few moments of success lunging in, landing fast looping rights, and a few hooks to the body, but Otabek controlled majority of the round with his heavy authoritative jab and hooks to the body.

Kholmatov out now feinting better and occasionally dropping his hands to bait him in, Grigoryan launching these tidy little ambushes, throwing with max power, but defending well. But Otabek lands several punishing right hook to the ribs and a beautiful piston like sledgehammer of an uppercut. These two are quality operators, already capable of beating most of the Top 20 at Featherweight.

A close one, Otabek controlling range quite well still, but the lighting quick ambushes were a little more successful from Grigoryan, he managed to land a few 2 and 3 punch combos, but the jab and the uppercuts and straight lefts from Otabek still edged it for me.

Another close one, Grigoryan's looping fastball of an overhand right is a thing of beauty, it's a pity he can never seem to land it clean. Otabek's defense is too sharp. Otabek now taunting with his hands down and even one behind his back, baiting him in, he obliges, gets him along the ropes and unloads a flurry, few get through, all of the telling shots that round was from Otabek, including a few sledgehammer like lefts.

Dominant round for Otabek, Grigoryan could never find the proper range and was apprehensive to throw, the few times he did, all he landed on was glove. Otabek jabbing constantly and landed severa one twos, and a nasty left uppercut late.

Kholmatov fully in control now, starting to punish him with the jab, these are the definition of power jabs. Many of them jolting Grigoryan's head back and up in the air. He's starting to get desperate and just winging in the right. A few of the combos Kholmatov has landed are gnarly, Grigoryan's chin is damn solid.

Kholmatov now pressing forward, at times landing in combination, right hooks to teh body, one two up top, he's feeling it. Grigoryan switching to southpaw, eats several right hooks to teh body, switches right back. Another dominant round from Otabek.

Grigoryan far more active this round, pressing forward majority of the round, Kholmatov still controlling the range quite well, landing the jab in between occasional looping rights, but Grigoryan closed very well, landing several lightning fast combos on a retreating Kholmatov.

Grigoryan coming forward aggressively still, but Kholmatov back to controlling range well, ad doubling up on the jab, landing 2 nd 3 punch combos on Grigoryan. Grigoryan landing his right, but not enough to edge the round in my opinion.

Andranik out fast, landed several looping left hooks to the temple of Otabek, which seemed to shake him up a little, but no wobble. Grigoryan walks into a few nasty uppercuts and left, but then cornered him along the ropes, and unloaded, he finished backing Otabek up and cornering him again.

Kholmatov while not tired in the last two, he was fading a little, but he comes out very reenergized and pounded him with non stop one twos and one two threes. Grigoryan goes southpaw, Kholmatov still landing combos, Grigoryan lunged and slipped, went down.
