The hate surrounding Berto is ridiculous. The funny thing is, if he does lose, everyone will say he is a hypejob. This, despite the fact that many people on this board don't think very highly of him. Not everyone can be a futre HOF'er. This guy is an exciting and dynamic fighter. I though that's what people liked? Berto is not perfect, and probably won't stay undefeated hos whole career. However, he'll rack up some good victories, and will probably win a title or two during his career.
i dont see him winnig a title now at 147 were he gets KO by almost evrybody, and in an interviewed he said that he is going to challenge a champ after his done against the scub he is fighting in his next fight
Thank you, that's why I respect what BK said. He said that he enjoy watching him fight. So he really doesn't care about his flaws. To me he is one of the most exciting fighters right now :good
You're off base here. He could face Clottey for the vacant IBF strap. I like his chances in that fight, and no way in hell Clottey KO's him. Also, if Floyd vacates his WBC belt, I could definately see him winning that vacant title. He also mentioned the Williams/Quintana winner. If Williams were to win, I think he's sloppy and flawed enough to lose to Berto.
both of those guys you say beat him right now he may survive 12 rds against williams but Quintana and Clottey KTFO him 4 sure, he has to many flaws not to get KO by a guy that can put good strong accurate punches together
Clottey couldn't KO shot, defensively challenged, glass jawed Corrales who was coming up two divisions and making his debut at 147. Clottey also weighed 175 on fight night for that fight. He's also gone the distance with two journeymen recently, is not a hard puncher, gets tired, is inactive for good stretched during rounds, and has hand problems. Please tell me what makes you think he can KO Berto? Quintana is not a devestating puncher and couldn't even drop flawed prospect Julio. I don't think he could stop Berto within 4 rounds.
i guess you forget how Cosme rivera put berto on ***** street were he needed 2 minutes between rds to recover, did you see how easily was berto hit on his last fight, he has a reputation of being KD alot at amateurs plus his flaws are very evident
He's only been KD once in the pros in that was off a perfect uppercut. Also, he was not on ***** street. He actually twisted his ankle on that shot and was fine when he got up. Corrales, on the other hand, had been KD several times in the pros and was coming up 2 divisions. Clottey could not stop him. In fact, Clottey hasn't stopped anyone in 4 years. You can't ignore **** like this when you say Clottey is going to KO someone within 4 rounds. Obviously, you must see how this prediction doesn't make sense.
were did i say 4 rds ??? he will stop him you better believe that and i guees you are high if u dont think that berto was really hurt in that fight b/c its clear he was, and why you think he let cosme land that big uppercut, b/c he is extremely easy to counterpunch and admire his work way too much even pbf who hits maybe alittle less hard than clottey might stop him
Once again, what makes you think Clottey has any type of power? He hasn't KO'd anyone in 4 years and couldn't stop a shot, defensively challenged, glass jawed, blown up lightweight. And he didn't let Rivera land that uppercut, he got out of position and was caught. No one said he doesn't have definsive liabilities. My point is that Clottey doesn't have the firepower to capitalize Berto's mistakes and stop him. Furthermore, you're definately high or don't watch much boxing if you think Clottey hits harder than Floyd.
at 147 the have more or less tge same power and io lean towards clottey, if rivera put berto on ***** street clottey can do it for sure
Clottey hasn't stopped anyone in 4 years. Floyd has stopped 2 people in 4 fights at 147 and may have stopped Judah had he not been fouled. Clottey couldn't stop a blown up, shot Corrales. The same Corrales that Floyd KD five times and stopped when Diego was in his prime and at his best weight. Clottey does not hit harder than Floyd. And Berto won every second of every round against Rivera except for when he got hit with that uppercut. He looked fine when he got up and when he went to his corner.
