Andre Berto "Blast Pacquiao" comment!!!

Here's the thing with Berto for me. He STILL hasn't done **** to seperate himself from a contender. WTF makes Berto any better a fight then vs. Clottey? At least Clottey had some good fights at 147 vs. top guys, win or lose. Berto's toughesat fight to date is friggin Collazo.

 

I wish these posters would stop bringing up what one fighter did to another as if it would affect the next fight against a totally different fighter!! By that standard Pac would have no shot against Mayweather because JMM was able to counter, stun, hurt & batter Pac at times during there fights & in many ppls opinions won both!! Mayweather is 10x's the fighter JMM is because he has 10x's more of what JMM has plus some!

If you don't agree that Pac loses to Mayweather based on what happened against JMM than stop bringing up guys like Collazzo & Quintana who Berto beat!!

 

I assume this rant is towards me? You miss the obvious difference, Pac and Floyd have ALREADY fought and beaten guys at the elite level. They've been doing it for years now. Berto has not. BTW, that anolgy is seriously flawed. What other boxers did don't mean **** when talkiing about someone specific. Berto simply hasn't even stepped up ONCE in his career.

I didn't say Berto was elite once but I do believe he has the potential to be elite and all the posters making excuses for why the fight shouldn't happen haven't ans my question which is if not Berto than who right now!! He has speed, skill, reflexes & power something none of Pac's recent opponents have had in abundance!! They've all recently been battered, lost and didn't look good the fight before! Berto comes in as a young undefeated champion who can & very well may be a real threat because of his speed, agility, reflexes & power & it would be a unification bout!!

Who do you suggest be the next opponent outside of Mayweather??


BTW... it's not a rant nor is it flawed!! Who was Pac before he fought MAB??? Who was S. Martinez before he fought P.Williams?? It starts somewhere doesn't it???

Oustide of Mayweather? Honeslty, don't care. But I certainly wouldn't fault Pac for not fighting Sergio.

I personally don't blame Pac for not fighting Martinez either but before this weekend alot of his fans were stating Pac would starch both P. Williams & S. Martinez!! I just see anything wrong w/Berto being next! We simply can't have another Margo scenario w/another slow, sloppy prodding fighter w/no defense or head movement! I wanna see someone w/natural raw talent, abilty & speed!!

So what? Fans say crazy ****...fans of EVERY fighter. I want to see Pac fight someone NOT only with raw talent, ability, and speed, but one who has put it to use, and did more with it ither than wait for a pay day all the while barely getting passed his BIGGEST test, in Collazo.

 

1. Hell no! Margarito certainly loses every round, while Clottey probably would make it somewhat competitive.
2. Yeah, but de la Hoya was weight drained. When Pac fought de la Hoya, Oscar hadn't fought at welterweight in 7 years!
3. Berto was going to fight Mosley a year ago. Now, a year older, that is Pac's plan!

Can you name me a fighter who think qualifies as an opponent since to you a young undefeated world Champion in the same division w/loads of talent doesn't in your book! Pac actually wins a real belt & can begin to take hold of the WW division not to mention state his claim!! Why not??:huh

 

I think Berto is an interesting fight, and at a minimum is a different kind of challenge. I don't think he would beat Pac necessarily, but he COULD beat Pac. He has enough hand speed and athleticism that if given an opening or if he were to stun Pac, he can finish him and to me that is compelling.

 

My respects to Berto for wanting to fight Pacquiao. I am glasd he is not afraid of fighting him. However, he wont last 5 rounds
