Sounds to me like he's just sick of the business side and negative press/fans, not the actual training and fighting. I didn't take that as a 'I hate boxing' speech.

Boxing isn't meant to be fun. It's a career choice, you don't do boxing to have "fun". What a moron. If you can't handle the fact that you have to dedicate yourself, take punches, and possibly get knocked out then you're in the wrong sport. Take up tiddlywinks or something.

 

it was fun for berto when he koing bums all day long, then when he ran into collazo and ortiz it aint fun no more. lol man berto my man but he be on some sucka **** sometime. i got money on ortiz in the rematch.

 

Berto is such a disappointment, I wanted him to go far and I thought he had star potential but at an elite level he caves in. Last 3 rounds of ortiz fight he was holding on for dear life, now his head isnt even in the game anymore.

Boxing is the type of sport where if the thought of not wanting to fight even crosses your mind, it's over for you. Boxers are like fight dogs, once they lose their gameness you gotta take em out back and shoot em. They won't win again.

andre berto is not mentally weak. he could've folded on several occasions against victor ortiz, who was an absolute animal on that night. I hope this doesnt affect him.
