Undefeated World Boxing Council (WBC) welterweight champion Andre Berto (26-0, 20 KO’s) is kicking around the idea of moving down in weight to the junior welterweight division, according to the latest boxing news

He's a short WW, but he is very wide, will he be able to boil down to the weight and keep his one shot power?

He should be able to keep his power moving down. His speed should still be there and that is his biggest weapon.

Would add to an already stacked division if he does..some great matchups to be made from that group.

Well hes very likely to get beat by an Elite welterweight if he ever face one....

So maybe his career is better off at 140

probably but it's better to at least fight them and see where's his at before he moves down to 140. I would still like to see him fight mosley.

if he were to move to 140, it would be the 2nd biggest disaster to ever hit Haiti.:smoke

Money and Pac are at 147...WTF??!!

Well i think he doesn't think pac or floyd will fight him. Mosley might be retiring and cotto is fighting at 154 now. Really there's more money for him at 140.

Khan-Bradley-Alexander and Maidana could all be a big payday for berto.

I still think a fight with Mosley would do quite well..

There's NO money at 140. that's why Pac ain't fighting there..

    more opportunities..yes.

Yes a fight with mosley should be a good payday but as of now we don't know if mosley wants to fight again. It didn't look like he had anything left after the floyd fight.

Pac-Mayweather are out of the question...
    Cotto is at 154
    Mosley- might be done
Margarito is the only big name left and he can't fight in the U.S

Right now 140 is where the money's at...
Khan is getting more recognize in the U.S
Alexander look good in his last fight
    Maidana was impressive also
Bradley is the current king at 140

I think Khan would be his biggest payday out of the 4.

Id be suprised if Berto can make 140 healthily, the guy is a pretty stocky and thick welter,

    but...

If he could make it without it harming his ability, then i would much rather see him at 140. He just adds to the mix and makes it that much better..... 147 is kinda burnt out for awhile after its several year hot period, with the two biggest names unlikely to fight him, the move makes sense.

I say go for it.... and im excited to see how it plays out.

i would like to see him vs mosley, winning that could line him up vs pac/floyd

but another name at 140? yes please!
