Andre Berto didnt train hard for this fight

A champion who is not prepared and doesn't train, shouldn't deserve to be a champion in the first place

 

Berto has very poor stamina, poor defense, a questionable chin (still imo) and terrible balance. He is also extremely stiff in there and flat footed. How he got this far in his career is due to several things that worked for him over the things I mentioned that clearly work against him.

He is one explosive puncher when he wants to be. If he used his jab more and had better stamina tonight, he could have definitely won this fight. His jab set up his best round in the fight. Every time he abandoned it, he was up **** creek.

Props to Ortiz tonight for gutting out a tough win. He needed this one very badly.

 

If he didn't train hard than he deserved to lose.

 

Berto came across someone who took his power and return even more power.
Ggreat fight.
Liked the opening of the 12th. Nothing but respect.

 

He was the champion he looked great to me.

IF anything that is his problem. you dont remain champ by slacking off.

 

That 6th round was the most important round of the fight, I stand by what I posted, had berto not been hurt in that round Ortiz, would've had a much tougher time, Berto probably would not have fought scared unless Ortiz hurt him big again.

 

If he didn't train hard, Ortiz would've stopped him.

He just got beat by a better fighter on the night, simple as that.

Didn't train hard? No way. It was a legit win for Ortiz. Berto was beaten up from the first bell. Bad style for him. I do not buy that he didn't train hard stuff. Ortiz rocked Berto with a jab right off the bat in round one. I saw Berto step back and I thought, wow he sure was open to that, and then he was hit clean by the uppercut also. Ortiz did well he kept Berto close so Berto could not unload his right hand. The thing which was Berto's undoing was his lack of bodypunches. Defensively Berto did not look great last night. And Berto's best chance was when they would get in those exchanges when he almost had the room to land his right hand, yet when that happened either guy could have been stopped.

 

lol sif, he stepped up in the level of competition and got served. it was always going to happen - the last time he fought a top 10 guy it went close

 

The 1st round seemed to take half a fights worth off energy off him, Ortiz somehow is good and quick at recovery.

AND if for some reason its true he didnt train properly then tough ****, a fight may seem like 1 to 12 rounds of boxing but training is all part of the game.
