It was mentioned by Lampley, Merchant and Steward that Berto looked as fresh as he did in the 12th as he did in the first. He was throwing at high rate every round with no signs of slowing down. I haven't seen it talked about around here. Berto is definetly conditioned to go even beyond 15 rounds. I wonder when his skills are honed how he would do against the elite like Marg, Cotto, Williams etc.

Though his stamina was impressive, Forbes was basically sparring after the first 2/3 rounds.. I'd like to see how he does taking body shots from a good fighter with a big punch..

Well, can he hang with a Margarito who will fight every second of a 12-round fight?

Stamina is a huge asset. He also has talent, I would definetly like to see him start fighting the biger names in ww. Should make for some good fights.

    ???

Berto spent half the fight pressed up against Forbes' chest listening to Open Arms.

His stamina is ok, but he was fighting a guy who stopped pressing him after the 3rd round and he would take breaks after throwing his flurries.

Don't buy into the silly as Manny Steward hype....He has mediocre if not **** stamina...after the 3rd round Berto was gassed the **** out, he was holding and grappling nonstop...every now and then he would let a burst go but other than that this fight told me how shitty his stamina is and he's in for a rude awakening against Collazo as he is a fighter with REAL stamina, who also happens to be much more versatile than Berto......Collazo will UD or maybe even stop Berto when they fight

the most hilarious thing about this is that after the first round, Floyd Sr. Was actually telling Forbes that Berto is already tired. Floyd Sr. Is either dreadfully stupid (I think it's this option), blind, or will just tell his fighters anything.

Berto was not forced to fight. He faught when he wanted to. Plus he didnt have to worry about defence so yea he wont get tired. He has ok stamina but Margarito has INSANE stamina. His style could never beat Margarito ..... maybe Cotto .... if he could take a punch.

He threw 619 punches in a 12 round fight.....Marga threw nearly 1000 in less than 11 completed rounds.

The fight really lowered my stock on Berto. He was extremely inaacurate. He would throw flurries and not land a meaningful punch at all. He has poor defense, Forbes was catching him flush; if he had power Berto would have been in trouble. His stamina is ok, but he was gassed for the middle rounds because he was homerun swinging the first few.

He has a lot of work to do before he challenges the upper level guys.

He looked as fresh in 12 as he did in the first. That says something. Apparently it's lost to too many "experts" in this thread...
