Rafael reporting from ESPN that PBC is out of money to buy time slots. Showtime is the only channel that actually pays PBC, which means that they get the pick of the litter, if not the whole shebang. Without the money to buy card dates on all those other networks, most of the PBC crew aren't fighting, haven't fought all year in many cases. But a couple are getting shots next year on Showtime. They have even been canceling cards that were scheduled on NBC.

 

I would like too see the Charlo brothers get bigger fights .

Didn't they release a statement just a few weeks back that stated that there'll be even more PBC cards next year than this year?

I reckon Al has his investors salivating of the idea of high profile fights on network tv.
No olympics to go up against, and with Ward kovalev, Yeller/GGG no earlier than Sept, there should be some high demand fights available for late spring Saturday afternoons....

Plenty of big ad revenue type fights and with Bundu being a noone, it goes to show that even a merely "promising" American fighter can get viewers to hang around in the AC rather than cutting the lawn.

problem is culcay and brook won't come to america unless they are getting big big paydays. very hard to get a decision in america when you have 3 american judges, they will be looking at recent fights and saying its not worth having the deck stacked against you

 

Those are all on Showtime though. The appeal of PBC was supposed to be that they were bringing boxing back to free television. Showtime is such a bunch of hardasses that you can't even find their fights online a day after they air. If you don't have Showtime, you don't see the fights. Go ahead, find a version of Santa Cruz vs Frampton or Matthysse vs Molina. One of the things I liked about PBC was even though their cards were spread over a half dozen networks and I could never be sure where they were airing or what time, you could go to the PBC site on youtube afterwards and all their fights were there. **** Showtime.

Well, the IBF is gonna give Brook til about mid January IMO to make a decision.
And if Al's investors decide they want Brook v Spence in Dallas in front of 50K outdoors on NBC........
They'll ante up the 3 mil its gonna take to get Brook to travel.
But Culcay.....he wasnt gonna get but like 300K for Andrade.....no reason to hide in Germany when he could get career altering money coming here for a PBC fighter.

 

ya thats true money talks, but i just can't understand why in every country in the world for world title fights they get nuetral judges from other countries but in america all the judges are american.

it makes no sense, for some of these fights there are tens of millions of dollars on the table, yet they can't afford the price of 3 plane tickets to ensure neutrality of the judges, like everyy other country in the world

could anyone explain that to me
