I feel Berto might lose again, in the video the OP posted Berto is talking about learning fundamentals and all these things. This man is already 30 pro fights into his career, he can't make drastic changes to what got him to where he is. Stick to what you do best. Instead of trying to learn fundamentals he should work on his conditioning as he couldn't keep up with Ortiz's pace. His amazing uppercuts will stop fighters like Guerrero from smothering him on the inside, but he didn't utilize it in that fight because he was busy being a poor man's mayweather.
no way was that a close fight. after the 6th round he went into a shell like he always does he cant fight for 12 rounds his stamina is ****. ortiz was bullying him and outfighting him for the last 6 rounds i had the fight 115-112 for ortiz. guerraro did the same thing, don't pretend he was doing that mayweather **** for 12 rounds he tried to do that in the 1st round and when he went down he fought like he always does, he got bullied around the ring by a guy who started his career at featherweight. for a guy seen as a dominant champion to be bullied and outfought and floored by a guy who started at 126. Thats embarrassing.
I don't know about that. At the end of the Guerrero fight, Berto got hit several times after the bell and he didn't even retaliate or complain, he just took it and waited until the ref saved him from the assault. It really looked like Guerrero took his heart. Check it out : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M7N1nURxOHE#t=7m13s
I hear you n can you may be right.... the only thing is, confidence and heart are not the same thing. Maybe his trainer confused them and ment to say confidence.
Yeah maybe there not the the same thing but there definitely connected. A person wouldn't persevere and struggle (showing heart) if he didn't believe in himself.
Ya but ive seen too many people with 'confidence' who lack true heart, and ive seen very nervous, non confident people show some outrageous heart. They may be fringly related but they aren't the same. But im just saying maybe the trainer was meaning confidence instead of heart. What they should work on is his ring IQ and stamina.
