I think he has good talent and skillset; it's been time to step it up for a while but I don't think it will be too long before we see him in with a quality opponent. I like Berto as a fighter but like the rest I'm eager to see him fight a step up in class.

So what, Collazo lost a close fight which could have went his way but it didn't, pretty much every good or great fighter has had a close fight and or losses, Mayweather/Castillo, Pacquiao/Marquez, Hopkins/Taylor, Cotto/Clottey, Williams/Martinez, the list goes on and on, Collazo is a good fighter who many thought beat an undefeated Hatton so this is not a bad fighter, Berto is a great talent and will achieve more than some think IMO,

I've also never heard any top fighters calling Berto's name to relieve him of his belt, not Pacquiao, not Mayweather, not Williams, not Cotto, **** i've only heard Clottey and Mike Jones even mention this dude, Clottey lost all credibility with me and almost everyone talks bad about him now after the Pac fight, and Jones is only a contender who hasn't fought anyone to deserve a shot at the belt.

Bottom line is when some big name boxer decides they want to fight him then they will fight, and Berto has as good a chance as anyone else against the top welters of this sport.

He beat Collazo? More like he survived. Only person to beat Collazo soundly is Mosley. This guy Berto is **** and he knows it. Boxing dont need weak ass no courage fighters like him. Boxing needs more Cottos and Mosleys not Floyderretes.

No point in debating the obvious with a blind nuthugger on here.

Berto should be pelted with rotten fruit upon leaving his house everyday. ****ing china chinned ****** with no heart would more than likely get flattened by any decent 147lb fighter and a few 140lb fighters. This is probably why we havent seen him fight forever. HBO and Lou Dibella have run out of remotely marketable cabdrivers and the time has come for Berto to put up or shut up. Hence the silence.

If Pacquiao fights Berto, will Pacquiao then meet your criteria of having fought a slick fighter?

Anyone who calls Berto a slick fighter should logout, get a gun, and blow their brains out.

Aside from that a Berto-Pacquiao fight would mean nothing because:

    A) Berto ain't ****.

    B) Pac would demand that Berto weigh in at 142, in the process erasing any grain of significance such a **** fight would hold in the first place.

I very much doubt they would fight at 142, but instead at 147 for Berto's WW title.

Any boxing purist understands that Manny Pacquiao is not a 7 division champ. Any real boxing fan in 20 years will look back and realize that Manny Pacquiao aside from "beating" Marquez, Barrera, and Morales he didnt really do much else. Moving up to fight David Diaz(weakest titleholder) ain't ****. Moving up and fighting Mayweathers leftovers at a ****ing catchweight don't mean **** either. All it means is aside from beating leftovers Pac unlike Mayweather need to weight drain the opponents by demanding a catchweight. Its a big ****ing joke and so are about 90% of his fans that don't have the slightest bit of knowledge about the sport. Pacquiao can't be compared to any fighter in the history of the sport that fought above 130lbs and be taken seriously. Now we have Pacquiao fighting Margarito at 150lbs. Who gives a ****? What's really interesting is dumbasses on here somehow think this will be a good fight or even worth shelling out 60 bucks. It's a perfect example of how the sport suffers. This is my first time even sharing on the topic. I just can't ignore the ignorant Pac fervor any longer.

i dont have much faith in berto, to be fair the collazo fight could have gone either way and i think berto did better in the final rounds and deserved it but thats besides the point, Collazo is an inactive gatekeeper fighter who gave him hell,
the man has been fighting guys like steve forbes and urango fighters who fight at 140 he hasnt beaten any legitamate top 10 contenders at his own weight, hes been calling out guys like malinaggi, marcos maidana, tim bradley, alexander and kotelnik fighters who fight below his own weight class, i think any legit top 10 contender will put him away.
