you probably scored Pac v JMM 3 for pac? The fight with Ortiz could have gone either way, Ortiz nearly got his ass knocked out.
Collazo beat his ****ing ass, then he got beat by a known quitter the kids chin is glass even Collazo who is feather fisted had him wobbled in their fight
Berto didnt do **** after the 6th but just hug all night...Ortiz clearly won that ****ing fight. You probably scored Pac vs Timmy for Timmy.
I had Collazo winning, it was close. A great fight. If Collazo wouldve had a proper base with a decent trainer and promotion behind him while he was young hed probably be a top 5 welterweight. Dude gave Berto and Hatton hell. Arguably beat both.
I agree Ortiz took over from the 6th on.... However I did score the Pac Bradley fight for Timmy, close fight though, Timmy ekked it out mainly due to Manny not doing **** for the last three rounds, and Manny trying to steal the early rounds he fought a lazy fight 30 seconds per round nobodys fault but Mannys
I had him beating both... Collazo was one tuff SOB... would have loved to see Berto rematch him.... or if anything would have rather seen Mayweather fight him instead of Hatton
I haven't read the General for ages, didn't realise people seriously rate Berto so much! Please show me where and how he has proven to be such a fantastic fighter. When he's stepped up the opposition with top tier welterweights like Zaveck & Ortiz, he's been poor. For all his athletic attributes, his actual style is pretty poor. The likes of Mayweather and Pacquiao would destroy him.
He is rated so high today cus he signed with TMT you didnt know? I mean once your TMT your automatically an ATG, and enrolled in the top 10 P4P
Ah right is that why? Well I'm afraid I'd have to disagree with that opinion. To me he's just a stiff fighter who can look exceptional in odd spurts here and there but who in the majority of his fights looks quite ordinary. Ortiz isn't a great fighter by any means but he beat Berto and I'd fancy him to do so again if they ever meet in a rematch.
+ Very good power + Solid upper body movement - No real jab - Dose get hit Over All. Andre Berto is cappable of beating any Welterweight around besides Floyd Mayweather. He has his flaws so I would not go as far as sayuing that he would beat any Welterweight around. It's been a year since his last fight a 5th round stoppage beating Jan Zaveck for the IBF welterweight championship. If Victor Ortiz wasn't coming off a bad loss. A rematch would be called for. I'd like to see him fight Randall Bailey who holds the IBF championship or Devon Alexander.
Well, you guys can't say the he doesn't have good talent and ability but he does have some glaring flaws particularly with defense that he needs to work on. Lets see in what direction he goes.
Plenty of fighters can look like this when facing his level of competition. This isn't a personal attack on him, I think he has plenty left to show us but his level of competition was hardly impressive. I rate his win over Zavek (but he'd hardly done much on the world stage) but a guy who struggles as much as he did with David Estrada and loses (in many fans minds) to Luis Collazo has plenty to prove. This is my pet hate about boxers- guys who look like him yet haven't really faced any true top competition yet. Its ridiculous how common that is in the sport.
