The trainer deserves the sack if he tried to teach him the Mayweahter shell

on ESPN and all other sources

Who would you like him to hire?

He needs to learn some boxing techniques anyways

I see Berto becoming a dedicated gatekeeper

Good to hear. Let's see if he can get someone and improve, looked bad last few outings.

Tony Morgan seems like a decent guy, but he's in the Joe Santiago class when it comes to training fighters.

Morgan wasn't a good trainer but he really needs to stop letting his idiot brother work his corner.

all this but, he was telling Berto the exact right things to do against Guerrero and he didn't do it. A change is late in coming...

I agree, but I don't know why now. He should have done this when he was going life or death with guys like Collazo. I seriously doubt his trainer told him to come out in a Philly Shell in a championship level fight. "Hey Andre, let's do something we have never done in the most important fight of your career!" No. He underestimated Guerrero and got touched up. That put him too far out of the fight to come back.

I honestly think he should go West. His is a Boxer Puncher/Brawler. He seems to want to fight like quick reflex fighters, but just doesn't have the physical (hair trigger) or mental tools (pick spots). I hope he doesn't keep fooling himself. He will fail regardless of the trainer.

    'Bout time.

I'd like to see him work with Robert Garcia considering how he helped Maidana with his footwork and head movement which, imo, are Berto's biggest deficiencies.

Lenard Ellerby should seek a new challenge and make Berto great.

like quitting Real Madrid, then go manage Cardiff FC, see what you can do with them.

    make it happen

Berto needs to sack his dumb ass brother always undermining the head trainer.

    His father too.

Until that gets cleared up, Berto will struggle under every trainer.

Here's hoping he goes from trying to be a "slick black fighter" to more of a boxer puncher/inside fighter

Lmfao, hah! I almost believed myself
