I used to be a fan of berto but enough is enough... its time for this guy to step inside the ring already and against someone that is relevant on some type of level (high or mid)..

i'm sorry to have to use twitter as a resource but all this guy does is talk about going to the club on twitter... its getting rediculous

he had 3 fights and he basically turned them all down... what is he waiting for? shane mosley cotto floyd clottey to die so hell be #1?

    what the hell ....

    I'm with you...
He is defo laying low right now, Maybe waiting for the dust to settle in the WW division.
(But that's a bitchmade move, IMO)

He is the only WW currently in the top's who is gonna sit back and watch all these warriors do battle while he chills at home & wait's to pick the bones.

    Agree 100%

    Paul Williams twitter:

"Going to the gym to spar today"

    Going for my morning run"

"Had a really good workout today"

    "more sparring today"

    Daniel Jacoobs Twitter:

"About to go for my morning run"

"Just got back from my workout"

"Ran 5 miles today heading to the gym"

    Andre Berto twitter:

"The club is pooping off the chain"

"Going to see Kanye at the studio, be at club XXX tonight"

"On a plane to houston my birthday tour continues"

"Be at club "ect, ect" tonight, lets get it popping"

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

    It's gotten ridiculous.

I'm with you on this aswell.. I blame the Promotions to be honest. They could have easily slipped him in on one of the upcoming cards in a "Showcase" fight to keep dude fresh & in the public eye.

But these promotions don't know how to put on show's anymore.
Who still remember's when Don king would put on a mega show featuring...
the combo's of Tyson/Chavez/Nelson/Jackson/Norris/ect... guranteed on every show.

I do have a degree of sympathy for Berto, he is in an unnaturaly packed division, and as yet, he is not gonna be able to take the other belt holders.

Having said that, he is a beltholder, so he can only hide for so long. Yes he is young and a little inexperienced, but he cant wait for the division to die down. The times make the man, he has to step up to what is out there whether it seems 'fair' or not, as far as his status as a prospect goes.

He's going to lose when he steps up. I'm not a hater, I just think he' got too many people in his corner telling him he's "not ready" for the top guys and he's apparently listening to them - or he'd have a fight done by now.
I really thought he could make it to the top of the division but his out of the ring activity is making me doubt him.

DiBella wants Berto to fight this fall/winter. They're trying to get a fight with Hlatswayo but HBO won't give them a 2009 date. They're currently exploring getting a deal done with Showtime for the Hlatswayo fight.

I completely agree, I was never really impressed and the Collazo robbery sealed the deal: HBO has done a good job of hyping him up, but the ring exposes everyones true colors, he has heart and all of that but his reluctance to sign for a meaningful fight speaks volumes about his and his teams confidence level

Berto vs. Cintron is that fight that should be made

Maybe Judah, Collazo or Cintron next would be the way to go for him.

When has Berto or his team shown a reluctance to sign for a meaningful fight? The only two guys that Dibella said he won't match up Berto against is Williams or Margo. Criticizing these fighters is fine, but let's at least base it on facts instead of baseless opinions.

Just a thought. But say Mayweather win's on Sat...
And the Bob Arum "Blackball of PBF" is as real as I think it is.

IYO, Would Floyd's next best move be to go after his WBC WW chmapionship against Berto or wait for the Mosley/Clottey winner?

Afterall, Berto does have Floyd's belt?

Collazo rematch, Mosely, Margo (according to you), Williams (according to you), and Cotto before the clottey fight was done.

He hasnt fought because HBO cant afford to sign one of his fights because he costs them alot of money

Collazo asked for too much money. He never turned down Mosley. Neither side was happy with the money that HBO offered. The fight is a possibility for January. He never turned down Cotto either, and his team has shown no reluctance to put him in there with Cotto.
