This will be a real test for Berto..but Clottey will not be in a defensive stance
against Berto . He will also go for the hunt and i believe this will go for the
    distance :smoke

Decent? That's it, decent? :huh I'd prefer GOOD or top ranked opponents for once. You can say what you want about Clottey, he's still done more then Berto, even if he lost to TOP GUYS. So how is that pathetic compared to you thinking Berto facing DECENT comp is better?

**** off with that ****. I like Berto. I just can keep it real and NOT act like a total fanboy. :patsch
You're opinion of Clottey and Cintron looks bad considering either one would be Berto's TOUGHEST and biggest fight of his career.

 Get this into your head. Berto wil NOT face either Pac or Floyd for a minumum of 8-9 months. Got that? SSM vs. Pac is set for May, deal with it or keep crying. So in the meantime, tell me who Berto should face? Of do you prefer he sit around WAITING for a shot at the big time?

Agreed. I would love to see Berto get another million dollar payday on HBO in his next fight against a guy like Alfonso Gomez or a Matthew Hatton, where he could possibly get a first round KO. Gomez is a great developmental fight at this stage in his career

Close fight at first, but I see Berto talking over in the second half of the fight.

I don't get it. What's wrong with Berto facing Clottey? Why, is it because there's no money in it for BErto? I for one is very much interested to see if BErto can pull a one round KO against the likes of Clottey, Cotto, or Cintron.

Let's just bring it on and see what happens:happy

I don't get it either. Either Cintron or Clottey would be step ups in comp for Berto. And it's not like he can get a fight w/ Cotto, Floyd, or Pac till maybe September 2011 at the earliest. So in the mean time...he should step up his comp if he's serious about facing the top guys. And besides, it's not as if anyone really needs to EARN a shot at Berto. He's not a draw and really has no pull, aside from TV dates to face bums.

Well on here he gets a boatload credit from a lot of people. Clearly bias people, but he gets his credit. Reasonable people see what's going on and don't give him credit.

But that wasn't the point... Pac's beating guys who've beat decent competition before, but it WASNT RECENTLY. Berto has to beat someone good recently to get a shot though? Or do you want him to fight top competition, and if he loses still get a shot at Pac? Because I have a feeling if he fights and loses to top comp, he won't get a shot... Even though these others have lost recently to top comp and STILL get a shot.

I think it's a good stay busy fight if nobody better is available. It's just funny to see people say he HAS to fight these guys to get a shot at Pac, and all of Pac's recent opposition came off losses, bad performances, or flat out don't deserve a fight with him and he's only fighting them for their name.

What do you care what some fanboys think? They don't write the hirstory books.

And no, reasonable people do give him credit, but the right amount. You thinking he deserves none kinda puts you at the opposite of reasonable.

DO you hear people making a huge fuss over SRL's win over Donny LaLonde? Nope, because reasonable people know what it was, ands what it wasn't.

The difference is, even if Pac beat guys coming off a loss, or a bad showingm, at least those guys had been established in their careers. WTF has Berto established other then he's guranteed TV dates to beat bums?

If Berto faces live comp and loses, then he loses. Berto has NEVER stepped up, unless you think Urango or Colloza qualify. If he did face Clottey or Cintron and lost, why would anyone think he's next for Pac? At least that would answer some questions on Berto, since that's what he has, questions.

He's already got it made in the shade HBO taking good care of him, all those guys you named is booked up execpt Clottey who no one knows where he is, he may be with Floyd finding his Urge who knows, let the young gunz fight it out and the only fighters Clottey has beaten were decent and when it comes to loosing to the best it's still a loss.

I'd rather a fighter be a winner and deserving shots rather than a loser deserving shots, Collazo, Qunitana, Urango are just as good as anyone on Clottey's or Cintron resume that they beat and at this point a washed up Mosely is not a good look for Berto, sure he will get a few points for beating Clottey or Cintron but it will be no suprise and no better than beating a Collazo or Quintana, Cotto is the only one i would give him more props for beating.

It's not that he HAS to fight those guys, it's more that those guys fit the bill of who Berto should face.

And say what you want about Pac's comp, all have been established and wer NOT as bad as you Floyd fans like to think they are. And ALL have been better than anyone Berto faced.

Because these guys had their shots at the big time and failed on more than just one or two occasions, i'm talking about Clottey and Cintron, Cotto will still be a good win for Berto and Berto has already expressed interest in a fight with Cotto, let the new age fighters step in, thats the problem now waiting too long to make these young guys step it up, Clottey would be an alright fight but to me he Berto doesn't need him to make a fight with Pac.
