Maybe you should stop worrying about hype. It's so stupid to talk about that, since it's so subjective.

Obviously he's not doing that. He's retired Captain. What I was referring to was the amount of credit history has given him for that fight. SRL's greatness stems from his CAREER. Not becasue he beat some guy for two belts late.

And that's most likley how some of Pac's wins will be seen as.

Recentlt or not, they DID something. Berto hasn't done anything.

And keep this in mind, Pac vs. Shane is done. we can't do anything about it. Floyd's probaly not fighting for who knows how long. Cotto is facing Mayorga.

What should Berto do in the meantime? Face another hand fed opponent?

Clottey and Cintron hasn't done **** but lose, lose, lose those mutha****as haven't accomplished **** but show that they know how to lose to the good fighters out there, between these two supposedly tough challenges they have beaten only two recongnizable names Zab and Corrales both of whom Clottey beat and both were past their best days and Cintron has beaten who, who tell me hurry up, nevermind i'll tell you one good name who's still semi talked about today, a young inexperienced Angulo, these two guys are proven losers i could care less if Berto faced another loser.

He's the only good fighter that hasn't lost to Pac or May at Welter who is at the top of his game and has the WBC belt, Floyd may comeback early 2011 and if theres anyone at welter that deserves to be his opponent it's Berto, not Cintron, not Clottey both are on losing streaks and at 154.

Whether it's stupid or not to you, it's true. You and I both know he's extremely hyped up as well as most of his recent wins.

'Most likely how some of Pac's wins WILL be seen as'. Because they clearly are... Hence me talking about the current hype and later history should tell it like it is. :nut

So since they did something BEFORE they are credible opponents now? Even though they all looked bad in their recent bouts? And you really believe they deserved a shot more than Berto because at one point they did good, but recently they looked like ****? All of them clearly on the downfall? :rofl:nut

And how many times do I have to say it's a good stay busy fight if he can't get anyone else? I've quoted myself saying it a few times now. :thumbsup

All fighters are hyped or overphyped by their die hard fans. And you are so worried about hype WHY? :huh

 You worry about HYPE too much.

It showed they made it to a certain level. A level Berto has yet to make. I fail to see how that is so hard to see. And yes, having accomplished something before, even if prior, still shows they made it to a certain level, unlike Berto who hasn't done squat.

There isn't anyone else. Well, there could be another gimme for him I guess.

Are you dense? What do you suggest Berto does since Pac, Cotto, and May are out of the picture now? Sit around and wait? Or at least face someone who'd be considered a step up by those with brains?
