Forbes has a great chin and has never been ko'ed; however, he has fought mostly as a light weight and has never faced the combination of speed and power that Berto will bring. I doubt Berto will score a KO but wouldn't be surprised if he did.

Is there any analysts for your upset prediction? Yeah I am admittedly a "Noob" and a Berto fan but I haven't seen anything from Forbes to suggest that he can beat any of the top welters. He belongs in the JWW division if not in a lower division.

Forbes is going to sleep. Berto is a guy who tries hard to take out his opponents. He's going to finish what DLH couldn't or didn't try to do.

I think berto may get it by UD, I believe it will go like forbes last fight against oscar.

Berto is gonna stop Forbes and make DLH's win look bad.

Berto will Pound 2 Pounds Forbes either into a UD defeat or late stoppage.

Berto will be more aggressive than De La Hoya, and that was a past it De La Hoya. Berto is a young gun eager to prove the doubters wrong, so I am sure Forbes has been picked as a first defence after watching the De La Hoya fight for the following reasons.

1 - He not a big hitter and a physically smaller guy having fought at 130-140lbs most of his career.
2 - He is a recognizable name due to his recent fight with the Golden Boy and is also known from his stint on the contender.
3 - He is known for his durability and if Berto stopped him it would look very good seeing as De La Hoya could not.

I am not conviced Berto has a major chin problem, as Rivera is a crafty vet who does hit hard, in his previous fight before Berto he pushed Light Middle Contender Joel Julio to the limit, scoring a knockdown on the way.

he isnt a light middle and is barely as welter.

sadly he had to fight oscar who just soundly stayed away from him. then threw a few shots. forbes coudlnt get inside so it was a shut out. forbes has always been a inside pure boxer. using a stiff jab and body work to get his wins sadly he cant pop and isnt the ultra aggressive sort.

i sense an upset too. forbes is world class but sadly isnt a full timer and wieght doesnt really cross his mind. but he is a operatro and has a chance of out hustling berto.

hey it's the year of the upsets :nod

Berto is going to take Forbes apart. Forbes has no power, and he's not as fast as Berto. Berto will be the bigger guy in there for a change. Forbes has what it takes to go the distance, but that's about it. He's in for an ass whoopin.

I noticed this yesterday when I was checking out boxrec..Interesting matchup too.. Berto may be too quick for Forbes, but I wouldn't be surprised if Forbes pulled the upset.. I'll be rooting for him too..
