berto would reign hell on khan, i dont like berto 1 single bit hes an overpaid exposed T.V fighter but his right hand is a potent weapon and if he caught khan with it i cant see the boy getting up

no one wants to see Shane anymore, he can't even beat More, as for Gomez and Brooks, they are below Zaveck, Quintana and Collazo, I don't see why Berto should bother with them.

No it doesn't, Mayweather vs Pac is the ONLY fight that needs to happen, afterwards they can fight who ever they want.

Why? Because they are WW's at least. And contenders at that. Besides, look at Berto's resume. It's not as if he's only fighting better and better guys successively each time out. Cotto's gone. Floyd and Pac are busy for a while.

Aftrer Zaveck, then who if not possibly the guys I mentioned? Just feast on more JrWW's? :huh

If Williams, Cintron, and Margarito can make 147, they'd be perfect too.

After Zaveck there will be a mandatory with Bailey, but niether Gomez or Brooks, would better than a fight against Alexander, Kahn, or Bradley, all world champs.

Maybe not now but he was absolutely a top 10 contender when they fought. Collazo is a slick, smart southpaw and would have been a handful for most WWs. It's a moot point because I had Collazo winning the fight but I just wanted to clarify things.

Those three guys are JrWW's. How does Berto raise his stock at 147 by beating 140ers? :huh

They are stars who are moving to 147 soon, besides the jump from 140 to 147 or from 147 to 154 is quite minimal. Kahn will likely fight Mayweather 1 day and Bradley is likely to get a shot at Pac, I see no problem with Berto fighting fellow stars.

well, fair enough, I want it to happen asap too but Ive wanted that for 2 years now:lol:

I think khan-mayweather is likely to happen first, because khan is with goldenboy and also it would make more before a pac fight than after a pac fight, maybe.

But now khan is saying he wants 3 more fights before mayweather.

Who cares about stars dude? :huh Fact of the matter is, Berto's resume is thin. He needs to fight top guys, WW contenders, not keep fighting puffs while hoping fore a star to come up from JrWW. That's kinda what bit him in the ass w/ Ortiz isn't it? IMHO, that fight said more about Berto then it did Ortiz.

And just becasue those guys might come up to 147 doesn't mean they will be top guys at 147. they need to prove that as well.

BTW, jumping from 140 to 147 or 147 to 154 effects fighters differently. Ask Shane Mosley how different it was fighting guys at 147 and then 154. It's not just the size of the fighter moving up, it's the size of the competition as well.

He has fought decent comp of the last 2 years, beating Gomez does absolutely nothing for him, as he has already beat several fighters who are better, in September he is fighting a legit top 10 WW in Zaveck, maybe if Arum would properly promote Jones, we could see Jones vs Berto.

The Ortiiz fight was bad for him but great for boxing, after Floyd does his thing a rematch between Berto and Ortiz could be huge, they might even have a trilogy.

You keep saying he doesn't need Gomez because he beat better fighters already. Does that then mean you thik Zaveck is better then Quintana or Collazo? If not, why is he fighting Zaveck, already beat fightes better then him right? :huh

Or Why would you want Berto - Jones if Quintana is already better then Jones? See where I am going with that? That's the corner you paint yourself into when you keep making statements like that.

Berto vs. Ortiz II would be nice one.

Zaveck is a top 10 guy with a belt, he is a decent opponent as is Jones. Gomez brings nothing to the table.

If Berto can win a rematch with Ortiz, we might see a rubber match that would be great for HBO and boxing.

NOw you are just going against the very things you kept repeating. If Zaveck is better then Jones, why would they even consider Jones? Againm that goes against what you were saying.

Explain what jones brings to the table. Here's a hint, even less then Gomez right now. :deal I like Jones. But he's 2-3 fights from even looking at a titlist.

It actually does nothing for HBO or boxing. It's just a fight man. Sure a good one, but nothing special about it.

Kell Brook a 147 UK fighter makes much sense for Khan, it would be a good money fight for Khan back here at home in UK.
