Reid was a talented fighter, though not great. Who'd win between Reid(pre-Tito beatdown) and Berto?

    Reid was bigger and rangier.

I think David would take a points decision, Berto is yet to reach his best.

Their level of competition was about the same and Berto has looked much more impressive.

I would give this one to Berto, especially because Reid didnt have the one punch power to test that shaky chin of Berto's

Reid could have certainly hurt Berto. Reid's power was overrated when he fought, but he was far from feather-fisted.

He'd have far to difficult a time loading up against Andre.

His style was far to amatuerish for the pros. He didnt fire back when fired upon and Andre has some quick quick hands.

Berto faster and i think he hits harder......though like someone else said, he's yet to reach his full potential....offensively he's top notch, and would give any fighter problems......so i'd give it to Berto UD

If the very average Kevin Kelly was able to dump Reid on his ass a couple times, I think Berto would be able to drop him and keep him down within 8-9. Reid did have heart though so he would keep getting up till the ref stopped it.

I dont think Kelly was "very average", he was a legit contender and though not in David's league, showed he was a decent fighter.
I only remember him dropping him once.

Kelly beat guys like Sam Soliman, world rated Nico Toriri, former olmpian Ambrose Mlilo and arguably got ripped off against Pyatt before he took on Reid.

No offense but I think Kelly sucked and so do all the guys you mentioned that he beat. Sam Soliman has incredible stamina, but thats about it. As far as the other guys you mentioned...pfft.

I think Reid had a LOT of potential, and without the eye problems could have been great. Just imho. His droopy eye was a liability from the day he began his professional career and only got worse. By the end of his fight with Trinidad he had to keep his chin pointed damn near at the sky just to see him.

I always felt really bad for him when I was watching his fights. Towards the end of the fights he always had his head cocked up in some weird angle just to see opponents. I remember the commentators talking about how the Reid camp explained to them that even the heat from the overhead lights would affect his damaged eyelid muscle and cause it to start drooping. Man that must have sucked. I don't think he would ever have been "great" but he would have had a longer career and taken less damage IMO.

David Reid by decision or maybe a late round TKO
