http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/boxing/news/story?id=6747449 I think if berto didnt change his corner around he will lose. If the fight is close they will ripped off Zaveck anyway. People dont know Zaveck, I watch some video and he is game fighter. Berto is nothing specail and im hoping he gets stopped in this fight.:good
Ow yeah thats right, bailey was the mandatory but he was stepped over so that berto could face him, he definitely deserves the first shot, same way selcuk aydin deserves at ortiz if he somehow beats mayweather.
Only if Berto is kayoed. HBO with their home cooking have screwed over so many foreign fighters recently, don't expect Zaveck to win a decision
Bad choice for Berto he did this vs Ortiz he took a guy coming off a draw from the weight below and it was viewed as Golden Boy throwing Ortiz to the wolves in a sink or swim moment American fans do not know much about zavek i dont know that much either but i do know the guys is tough and coming to bring it if Berto loses let alone struggle at all the fall out post fight will be bad I like the risky choice of opponents but it was not a smart move Alexander took on the dangerous Mattysse in a return bout but we knew who Mattysse was after his Judah fight We dont know a whole lot about Zaveck
I've seen several Zaveck fights, and while I do think he's underrated, I don't think he has the speed or accuracy to handle a focused Berto. He'll give Berto a tough night, but I think he'll lose with scores around 116-112. And if it's even close and goes to the cards, Berto will win. Scorecards on HBO shows have been horrendous lately.
saw his fight against Isaac Hlatshwayo, he seems to be a strong guy, not real fast and telegraphs his shots. I dont think he'd win a decision against Berto, but with only seeing one fight not really much of an opinion on him.
Great interview (though a bit old) with Zaveck. http://www.groundandpound.de/en/general/interviews/news/intelligence-and-psychology/
