    9-0 means nine rounds to none.

    8-0 would be expressed in a ten-point-must-system format as 80-72. If a round is 10-8 because of a knockdown you would express that as 80-71.

    It's still 8-0 either way.

    80-72 (ten point must) = 8-0 (in rounds) with no knockdowns or deductions.

    80-71 = 8-0 with a knockdown or deduction.

    Got it?

    You don't invent an extra round because there was a knockdown. You can't be up 9-0 after eight. :yep If you want to represent the nine-point gap in scoring then express it with the proper format. 80-71.
