Clottey, whilst not a huge puncher (or a guy that throws too many punches) is a decent counter puncher. I see Berto blowing himself out by throwing quick combinations for rounds on end that hit Clottey's gloves. Clottey then steps it up 9-12 and does what Cosme Rivera didn't have a chance to do....finish Berto off.

clottey. clottey is one of the most overlooked, underrated fighters out there. he has textbook style, great defense, and great punching. i bet clottey could ko berto, if not than easy ud.

In order to beat the defensively sound Clottey one has to have a stellar body attack. Clottey always keeps his guard high and tight therefore leaving openings to his body. Although he's not known for it Berto is a good body puncher when he asserts himself. He also has a killer uppercut that might be able to split Clottey's guard from time to time.

Berto has the tools to beat Clottey but at this stage I'd pick Clottey by UD. His defense and sneaky left hook will give any 147-160ler problems. With one more year of seasoning I'll be ready to pick Berto.

Not just defence, Clottey has awesome punch resistance.

Honestly....Berto is going down if this fight ever happens.

clottey has a great chin and great defense. He's a bad matchup for anybody at welter. If I was a promoter, i'd steer my young fighters clear of this guy.

clottey is no joke, but berto is a beast as well. i can see berto winning the early rounds like with forbes, but because of forbes light punching, even tho berto gassed out in the middle rounds, he was able to recuperate. that won't happen vs. clottey's relentless attack. berto hasn't faced someone of clottey's level or power. clottey by split decision in a potential classic

Clottey would put that fool to sleep. 6 Rounds tops.

Clottey is definitely underrated and underappreciated. I don't see this fight taking place any time soon. Berto's folks don't want this one.

    Berto UD.

I'm surprised so many people think Berto doesn't have enough skills. I think many people will be surprised.
