Nobody seems to care much about this fight. i can understand cause berto is viewed as future superstar and rodriguez is just another alphabet fake. well, let me tell you, this is not the case. rodriguez has had management trouble and has been burried on undercards all his life. but he can fight!! a typical world level mexican fighter, tough, tenacious and hard hitting. berto has never met anyone like him before. cause unlike estrada, who is also tough, this guy can punch a bit. sure, berto will probably win this, but i would not be surprised if there is an upset here.
I hope you are right about Rodriguez because I see Berto easy in this fight. Cause I just can't see this being anything other than a Shobox calibre fight. For an Hbo main event this has ass written all over it.
berto never faced a guy who could really punch. the best fighters berto faced were rivera, trabant and estrada. all were talent wise and especially powerwise a level below rodriguez. to me, this is a very interesting matchup.
I really hope you are right. I like Berto a lot, but the one area I see flaws is his ability to deal with a fighter coming forward and throwing heavy punches. He looks out of his element when this happens. This could be a good test for him then, as far as proving or improving his defense. He's going to need it if he's going to start taking on the big players in the division.
recently, there was a thread on here regarding a fight between jesus soto karass and berto. people gave karass a great chance of beating berto. to me, rodriguez is certainly on karasses level. in fact, i think he is more talented. that is why im really looking forward to this. rodriguez is a real dark horse.
I defo expect Rodriguez check that chin early... Interested in what happens after that if Berto can survive, It will be G'N for MAR.
how many punches does Rodriguez through a round? is he active enough and does he crack hard enough to beat him?
activity has been his major problem. he was a don king fighter for a long time.........burried deep on his undercards.
