berto vs shane around the same time in LA

I think it might just be talk. Berto is too green for Cotto. ANd Cotto wouldn't fight Berto. High Risk Low Reward. A win over BErto means nothing for Cotto

Mosley is 38. He doesn't need to do **** like this anymore. He's usually is the only one that wants to unify and he often pays the price. If its not a mega fight, he shouldn't go for it.

berto vs shane would be ill though... plus they were already on the verge of doing it but the fight fell out on the contractual end

Shane vs Berto wouldn't draw all that well. Put Cotto vs Shane in MSG again and add NYC's own Collazo against Berto again, then you'll have a packed crowd and good ppv numbers.

True, Cotto is huge in NYC. But this would be a nice card. 2 guaranteed great fights, featuring 2 nyc favorites.

so the winner of that undercard would take the winner of the main fight?

    how often does that happen?

I'm not suggesting that at all. If Mosley wins, I doubt he'd want to beat up on Collazo again or fight Berto. This is just to create a nice card, this is what boxing needs. Maybe if Cotto won and Berto won, a fight between them can be discussed. Interest for the two of them fighting would grow if that were to happen.
