Honestly I'd pick Williams quite easily over Berto. Berto doesn't have much upperbody movement and he has very short arms. He'd be a sitting punching bag IMO for Williams to slap around for 12 rounds or even possibly KO. The reason Q got to Williams so much is because he constantly throws unorthodox counter punches and he himself is southpaw as well.
Berto would have massive stylistic problems with Williams. His main investment would have to be Body shots, if that doesn't work I don't think he'd have much of a shot.

Looks like a good blueprint to land a a match up with Miguel. I personally am a Berto believer and would favor him over all three of those stepping stones. :good

Yeh after I typed that I realized that I favor Williams once I thought about it. Still think it might be a fairly close fight seeing as how Williams doesn't use his size advantage like he should 90% of the time

This is true. See the PW I imagine is the one that showed up against Margarito and actually did use his legs and his volume punching to win the fight. With that style there would be such a small change of Berto Winning. If he fought like a moron and came down to Berto's level opening himself up to get ripped with ridiculous shots than maybe Berto would have a chance.

I like that journey to getting a fight with Cotto. I like Berto and I'd like to see him fight a Collazo next just to see how he does against a top 10 welter.

It's a great idea if he can accomplish it, but IMO I don't see him beating Cintron or Quintana. (I could be wrong) I really want to see him face off against someone like Collazo or Baldomir, just to see a little more of what he is capable of. But still I would have to see a fight with the likes of Quintana, Cintron, Clottey or Judah to see if he belongs in the spotlight with the elite. Even though I said that I don't see him beating some of the higher ranked fighters, I would definitly like to see it happening.
