  2. He has been on a long lay off. Give the man a break. When chokiao took a year off and came back to beat up a lightweight it was okay for you wasn't it?

Agreed. SmIith was not in the same league as Ward and to think this was Ward's first fight back after nearly two years.

    HOW WAS THAT FIGHT BORING?

    minimal clinching
    no obvious fouls
    plenty of combination punching
    stoppage

I watched four minutes of it and then switched to Lemieux. Really glad I did

Very boring. Should have picked a better opponent.

He was coming off a very long layoff, who did you expect him to pick?

The way some people complain it sounds like they're forced to watch Ward fight.

As if someone is literally kicking down the door to their house, stapling their eye lids to the foreheads, turning on the Ward fight, periodically wetting their eyes with drops and HOLDING them perfectly still so they can't look away.

And that tells you all you need to know about Ward.

He's had two fights in like three years against complete nobodies.

I wouldn't know--I was watching a REAL fight that was COMPETITIVELY matched in N'Dam-Lemieux.

He doesn't want better opponents. He wants to coast and deceive the boxing public. Path of least resistance should be Ward's middle name.
