Well said. I think Dirrell's speed will be the deciding factor, but you are right, his defense is his weakness. I'm basically picking Dirrell out of spite for Froch fans. Nothing against Froch at all. I've always thought Dirrell was a bit cocky and too flashy. Nonetheless...get em' Dirrell.

 

I don't think Froch has faced super hand speed at all.

 

Ward is not immature in the ring. That should help with your confusion.

 

The Brits are the reason I'm even rooting for Dirrell in the first place.

 

i mean i give froch alotta credit. he beat a game taylor point blank. I dont believe that whole taylor ahd it won nonsense. a fight is 12 rounds. but yeeesh do u gotta be so annoying about it. and now they are crowning froch before the tourney starts. but i guess i wont call brits annoying but rather spirited.

 

Damn, I didn't realize Dirrell's chin was so shaky. Froch just might stop this guy.

Thats a fair assesment i'd say,and i made the same comment in another thread about Dirrell being a "confidence" fighter.
Once he realise's he doesn't have the tools to beat Froch he'll crumble.
This has Calzaghe v Lacy written all over it,the only difference will be the stoppage.:good

Dirrell hasn't improved that much in the ensuing three years. And vulnerable is as vulnerable does. I was pretty sure Froch would stop him cold, now I'm very sure.

 

I can only speak for myself, as a card carrying member of the motherfrocher fanclub, but I think alot of it's tongue in cheek.

That said I fully expect Dirrell to be tasting canvass in this fight.

 

....I don't know if Dirrell is built for such rigors and I not fully confident he can win this bout but I must say you provided a good chuckle with this post. Froch is two levels above Dirrell? Meaning what...what do you consider when evaulating these levels? Sure I can have two cavemen wearing buffalo hides give it a go showing brutal strenght and a durable chin but in terms of skill and talent Dirrell is probably two levels above Froch. If Froch wins this fight (and he most likely will) its not because he's levels above Dirrell its because Froch's glaring intangibles and toughman mentality out weighed Dirrells skill sets, speed, boxing ability, defense and punch resistance or lack there of.
