I didn't realsie it was a joke, I thought it was an interesting match up where Dirrels qualities will be put to the test, i was actually working out who had the better chance of a win, and couldn't decide as both share the same ring prowess, now I have read through, it was very funny now I see the irony, too many bitter Dirrel fans on here though :-(

What can you expect? Their in-house movies stink, their singers all try their best to sing with an American accent, their soccer team is the laughing stock of the world, their Booker Prize is dominated by Indian writers (lol), and all their fighters get exposed badly when stepping up to American elites. I'm pointing out that a lot of people calling the joke a failure don't actually understand the joke at all. So in calling it a failure, they themselves have failed because their blind patriotic superiority complex struck out before they actually realized the main punch line. I'm not sure what you mean when you say our "in-house movies stink"? British movies, directors, producers, actors and actresses have been doing very well over the last few years. Just look at mainstream American shows, who's producers scramble about trying to push anybody into the middle of it that has a British accent. America's got talent has 2 out of 3 British judges. American idle and dancing with the stars do the same thing.

Football team is the laughing stock of the world? What? Since when? Recently we have been doing fine and are currently ranked 7th. You might be talking about the fact we didn't qualify for Euro 2008 two years ago? If so, yeah, we were the laughing stock then, just like France and Portugal are biting their finger nails right now because there's a decent chance those teams won't make it.

- British movies done "in-house" (without involvement of an American Studio), always seem to fail spectacularly at the box office. The exceptions are localized sitcoms that have no audience outside the UK. You've also unintentionally admitted that British actors find their success primarily in American production sets. As far as "Idol" and all those other garbage reality shows, that's a manufactured effort to give a false sense of legitimacy. And funny enough, it's a decision made by the same execs regardless of which channel it's on.

I wasn't just referring to Hatton being smashed by Floyd. Junior Witter was completely outclassed by Timothy Bradley. Clinton Woods against, well almost every good American he faced. Calzaghe's embarrassing struggle against a 43-year old Hopkins, Carl Froch's tainted victory against Dirrell in a fight he should have lost by most observers, and not to mention British prospects that get smashed by other foreign fighters like Gavin Reese, Enzo Maccinerelli (however his name is spelled), and Amir Khan. David Haye is a damned good fighter though, I do believe (laugh at me if you will) that he will beat not only Valuev, but the Klitschko brothers.
