Andre Dirrel wants Andre Ward!!

    Word from Wards camp is that he doesn't want to fight either Dirrel would it be a duck if Ward never fights the most talented fighter in the division Andre Dirrel? Or his brother a current title holder Anthony Dirrel?


    Many people believe Andre Dirrel got robbed against Froch and he is obviously a stylistic nightmare for anyone with his hand and foot speed. But Ward doesn't want it and seems like he is using the were close friends excuse not to fight a guy who holds all the physical advantages over him. A lot of Ward fans say he cleaned out the division while also saying Dirrel beat Froch. Well that's a little hypocritical to say if Ward didn't fight and beat arguably the 2nd best fighter in the division.

    Edit: Andre has beaten a top 10 opponent in his last fight while number 2 contender for Wards belt is Sturm who only has a draw to Steilgitz and lost his last fight at MW against Sam Soliman. Number 1 contender Chudinov hasn't beaten a top 15 contender at SMW ever unless he gets by Sturm who doesn't belong there.
    Let's not act Andre Dirrel isn't more deserving than these fighters.

    Edit 2: Andre Ward vacated the WBC title after Anthony Dirrel became his mandatory. Anthony was calling Ward out and Ward told him he had to think first. Then Ward vacated and said no one wanted the fight BUT ANTHONY DID AND WARD FOUGHT RODRIGUeZ we wanted that?

    Andre Dirrell has MAYBE one victory over a top 10 ranked fighter in his whole career (Abraham, who was 2-0 at 168 w/ both being against 160'ers).

    What has he done in the last 5 years?

    Since the Super6 he has fought 1 top 15 opponent at SMW while Ward hasn't. He has also talked about a fight with Ward since then and Ward has said he won't fight him. Anthony is a current title holder and Ward said he won't fight him either.

    Edit: Sorry Edwards is rated 10 by WBC. He's top 15 though in almost every sanctioning body.

    Do you think Wards next fight would be against someone in the top 15?

    I know every fighter Ward has pushed in front of HBO hasn't been a top 15 SMW fighter.

    Ward beat Edwin after the Super Six, who was top 10.

    Dirrell hasn't beaten anyone on the top level, or anyone particularly close to it for that matter, other than Abraham 5 years ago. It's time to move on now...

    He doesn't deserve anything other than taxi drivers because he either A) lied about a brain injury to get out of fighting Ward in the Super Six or B) is fighting with a career ending brain injury. Those are the only two explanations. And these aren't my opinions, these are from what Team Dirrell and others involved have all said. So it's either A) or B), either way I don't care to ever watch him again.

    As for Anthony, yes, Ward should be seeking to face him to snatch the belt and beat a top ranked opponent. I would hope he does at some point as it's one of the better fights at Ward at 168.

    Edwin didn't even make weight and his fight before was at a catchweight because he couldn't make weight.

    See my edit Dirrels last opponent was top 10!

    Andre Ward wasn't preparing to fight him either and said he wouldn't!

    Unfortunately Ward said he will not fight Anthony either.

    Agreed with most of what you said, although I don't necessarily think it has to be an either/or with the Dirrell situation. Not saying I don't think those are the 2 most likely possibilities, but I think other things may have conceivably come into play that would render that a false dilemma. All the same, I'm with the crux of what you're saying.

    Andre on top form is a problem for anybody, it would not at all surprise me if Ward has or will swerve him in the future.

    Anthony sucks IMO, Ward beats the brakes off him.

    Andre Dirrels last opponent is rated top 10 with the WBC.

    Anthony Dirrels a current title holder.

    Ward says he won't fight either of them. Andre Dirrel could beat Degale and Ward still wouldn't fight him even though Andre Dirrel wants to fight him. I'm sorry but how is Wards career going to get any better if Anthony and Andre aren't future opponents if their both title holders? AA won't fight him either.

    Anthony isn't as talented as Andre but has a lot of heart, decent pop ,and a sneaky right hand. I think he is also one of the only people to put down Bika. I think he does need a different coach that could polish him more.

    I like Anthony way more than Andre. Anthony is ballzs out all the way. He will fight Ward, and I'd give him a great shot at defeating Ward.

    Yea I don't favor him against Ward but when he gets hit flush he goes to war! Hopefully Andre has been paying attention!

    Edit:He did put down and stun Bika who has a very sturdy chin at SMW.

    Anthony takes more chances, and he has a killer instinct, something Andre imo lacks. You need a killer instinct to beat Ward.
