Andre Dirrell has blackballed himself. It's unfortunate Abraham hit him while he was done, because im interested in what type of excuse Team Dirrell would have used to pull out of the fight. The reality of the situation is it's all about money. They used the super 6 to make a name & believe they can demand more money. The problem is they have blackballed themselves.

But the money isn't going to be the same ..... and that's one of the reasons he isn't fighting ward ..

Winning always proves more than burning bridges and all that. Had Margarito won the other night with Pacman, no one would care about the gloves incident.

    exposure>money

at this point, he's done. He can always fight in Michigan in front of a 2000 crowd.

I still think a Ward-Dirrell fight will come to fruition at some point. He just has to rebuild all over again.

True but this case is completely different ... margarito looks for a fight ... dirrell can be very defensive and that style doesn't translate into "must see boxing" ... and being that the major networks might not wanna deal with him he might have to start from scratch ... espn2 is good publicity but he isn't going to get the money he was getting with showtime ..he put himself in a position where he might not get the big fights

Is he sparring? If he was sparring than yeah, he's definitely full of ****, but if he's just training, that proves nothing. Him training doesn't mean he's fighting, it just means he's trying to stay in shape.

When his brother was talking about "boxing is a business, we trying to get mother****ing money blah blah......." which is true. But made me lean toward thinkig they werent telling the truth.

As for him training....as long as hes not getting hit I dont see anything wrong with it. Althought I wouldnt be on twitter saying im training.

He always gets blamed for the Stevens fight but lets be honest, Stevens fought a dumb fight too. Instead of chasing him like an idiot he should've tried to cut the ring off and throw more punches. At least Froch came to fight. I don't even know if his injury is legit so I won't jump to conclusions. If he does fight in a few months then yeah I'll think he's full of crap but he's just training so lets try not looto be too critical. I was looking forward to the Ward/Dirrell fight so bad too...

I agree but lets wait and find out. I don't like that he's on twitter or talking to the media about fight predictions.

Did you see him on fight camp 360? It had the be the least convincing story ive ever heard. Look at the way he fights - Refusal to engage non-bums and instead running for entire fights. Constantly falling over deliberately when under pressure. A questionable "KO" when Abraham hit him with an admittedly cheap shot. Im not saying he's definetly lying but come on, all but the most biased nut-huggers would admit he's not the most reliable witness.

Dirrell is property of Al Haymon, he'll be on HBO when ever Haymon wants. Haymon's probably the one who decided to pull Dirrell out of the tournament.
