I just want to see the fight now I think all the talking has been done now, lets start seeing some fists fly.

The thing that makes this fight exciting is the unknown factor to it.
Nobody knows just how good these 2 guys will be on the night.

Would Carl Froch have learned from his mistakes and make adjustments and the same could be said for Dirrell.

    Bring it on :good

We have a fair idea how Froch will perform. Dirrell is the unknown quantity.

Froch will bring his power and physicallity to the fight so Dirrell has just three ways he can fight - 1 go tit for tat ( unlikely), 2 try to bust him up with speed, accuracy and timing ( more likely, the sort of thing Mayweather did to Gatti R.I.P.), 3 steal the fight and box his way out of danger ( most probably). I wait anxiously to watch how Dirrell will absorb Carl's bombs and how frustrated/marked Froch may come to be after mid-stage.

Dirrell comes off like a small heel when he gets animated.

Dirrell doesnt have that sort of boxing ability to be able to pot shot Froch. Froch will just walk him down.

Anyone else think Froch looked a tad nervous there?

I'm pretty sure Dirrell has the skills to box his way to a UD. People forget how flawed Froch is. His footwork his misrable, he seems to push slow punches and his defence is none existant. Dirrell can easly capatalise on this wether he chooses to or not is up to him. Froch essentially has a big target on him for any technically sound fighter to exploit.

Dirrell looked very very nervous. He knows Froch has the power to hurt him.

Froch usually looks nervous. At the Pascal fight, he looked like he lost the stare down at the weigh in and looked a bit unsettled.

I think alot of people on this site get carried away with big punching power.

If any of these guys have ever boxed they will tell you straight away that it's hard to set up power shots when a guy is constantly giving you angles and your only able to get off the odd shot here and there because Froch will not get time to set his feet and as soon as he does he will feel like he is stuck in quicksand. He will be nailed by punches as soon as he does try to load up so I see Dirrell boxing Froch smartly.

I would say that 80% of the people on this forum have Frochitis at the moment and they need to take that Jermain Taylor win out of their eyesight. If froch has mamoth power then he should of stopped Pascal but he didn't and Pascal looked superbly conditioned but he lacked that real fast type handspeed to trouble Froch. Dirrell has laserfast hands man, and he is faster than Taylor and Pascal for sure. Pascal said it himself, Dirrell's hands are the fastest he has ever seen and Froch is the hardest puncher he has faced so I am assuming that if Froch tries to load up or follow Dirrell he is only going to eat punches on the way in and only get off with maybe 1 solid connect which will probably be to the body.

Froch just does not have that type of quickness to actually beat Dirrell to any punch especially from distance because Froch fights using distance so he has to step in to land and his opponent has to do the same. I want to see how Froch's face looks after 3 rounds because something tells me that his eye might start to close up the longer the fight goes and god help him if it does because Dirrell will put him to sleep, Froch needs all of his vision just to try and cope with Dirrell's speed as it is but with lack of vision damn, that's a bad night for Nottingham.:rasta

I can see right hand counters landing over that lazy Froch measuring jab and I can see Dirrell popping him with hard straight lefts down the pipe and I think Froch will show him a little more respect and not fly in trying to land that big KO punch, he will become hesitant and stop throwing so many punches and Froch is definitely relying on the last 4 rounds to wear down Dirrell so if Dirrell can jump on Froch and get him out before 10 then he should have it but something tells me that between rounds 10 and 12 then it will be anxious moments for Dirrell as Froch will look to finish strong.

Fantastic post Solid chin!! :good , i've got a funny feeling the nottingham arena will be as silent as a mouse on more than one occasion as young Dirrell starts going through the gears!! , i see Dirrell starting extremely strong and by the time the 6th round comes around Carl is gonna lose heart after failling to find an answer to Andre's speed and movement, if Dirrell senses that and gets confident then it could end very badly for Carl on the night, i just can't wait to see it unfold.
