God! listening to people they would think glaciers move faster than Carl, if he's so slow how come he was able to outbox pascal and connect with enough to KO Taylor? And don't give me any of this Taylor tired himself out bull****, he got caught enough times with hard shots which slowed him down enough to have the sloth like Froch KO him

Solid Chin, you over estimate Dirrell's speed. You underestimate Froch's abilities. You can't read a fight because you're so far up Dirrell's backside.

Dirrell hasn't done **** to establish himself amongst the elites. Until he does something, he needs to sit the **** down, shut his big trap and respect his elders.

Because both Taylor and especially Pascal stood within range of Carl and traded shots with him, lets remember that Taylor has a history of being knocked out by a one dimensional slugger in Pavlik so what Carl done wasn't a one off, in Dirrell he's facing a guy who moves around the ring and creates angles, plus his handspeed is the fastest in the whole division, when you combine that with his southpaw stance/switch hitting then it's clear Carl hasn't faced anyone like Dirrell before and that will be evident on saturday night.

Dirrell will have to wrok very hard to win rounds against Froch tho. I dunno what Froch's punch stats were against Pascal and Taylor but Id take a wild guess he threw a lot more punches at those 2 each round than anyone has thrown at Dirrell before. Dirrell is very quick and skillful, but we dont know that he has the fitness to keep doing that for 12 hard rounds. He has never gone 12 before and the only time he has gone 10 was when he spent the entire fight running away in what the BO commentator called a disgrace. But yet there are guys in here comparing him to Floyd Mayweather, who has shown during his career that he has skills, speed, good power and excellent fitness.

Someone in here said Froch has terrible footwork and a terrible defence. What Id say to that is if he was half as bad as you ake out he would have lost to Pascal and Taylor. Pascal got worn down and outboxed down the stretch, and Taylor had to throw too much and eventually take too much in return to build that big lead up, come the end he didnt have the gas. One thing people are underestimating is Froch's dimensions, the height advantage and reach advantage Dirrell has are negligible, about an inch on both. Has he ever fought someone like this with this height and reach? Its all well and good outboxing Victor Oganov and that guy who lost to Roy Jones, but lets see if he outboxes Froch so convincingly. Im not convinced that Dirrell is as quick as Taylor and Im pretty sure he doesnt have anywhere near as much power in his shots.

Still I cant wait for the fight, both guys will be fired up and both deserve credit for having the balls for entering this tournament.

I bet Froch would look even better than Dirrell fighting Dirrell's oposition.

I'd advise you to go and check Dirrell out on Youtube or something because i think it's pretty clear to see from the human eye that Dirrell's speed is on another planet compared to Jermain's, he hasn't been labled "the fastest man in the division" for nothing to be honest, you claim Pascal got "outboxed down the stretch" but i disagree, i saw the fight live myself and i'd say he got outslugged not outboxed, imo outboxing someone means you beat them with skill like what Floyd has done to many of his opponants but Froch was just doing the same old thing which is "left jab followed by a big right hand", that works when your opponant is tired and standing right in front of you but Dirrell is no fool, he'll keep Carl off balance and make it very difficult for Carl to get off his power punches, i see Carl having to take two or three to land one and against someone as fast, elusive and slippery as Dirrell is it's a recipe for disaster i believe, and Carl was knocked down by someone who couldn't floor two light middleweights like Spinks and Ouma so anyone who thinks "Dirrell can't hurt Froch" is seriously kidding themselves imo.

Spot on Smooth, :good. Alot of the folks on this site sound similar to all of the folks who did not give Ali a chance before he fought Sonny Liston and look what happened. Speed Kills and I will say it again, SPEED KILLS. And what we are going to witness on Saturday is exactly that, speed will kill Froch, Froch has never seen handspeed like Dirrell's in his entire boxing career guaranteed. I dont care how many people want to disagree but it will be very very evident on Saturday night that going into the 9th round if it goes that long that Froch will need a knockout to win because he is going to be thoroughly outclassed, and let me say it again just for you folks who have given me nothing but abuse on here. Froch is going to be thoroughly outclassed by the joker in the pack. Dirrell is the unknown quantity to casual fans but if you are a lover of the sweet science this fight will be a fight where all of the doubters now will become big believers and there will be alot of bandwagon shifting afterwards.

If I am wrong then you can slew me and abuse me all you like but I am confident that Dirrell is going to shine on the biggest stage of his life and Froch wont be able to do anything about it.:good

He'll look all shiny eyed when he's on his back on the canvas, where Froch just put him. The dream he's always dreamed of.

respect his elders, give me a ****ing break, he's not going to be respecting him when he is punching Froch's head off so why respect him now. It dont make sense does it, this is boxing, not netball

If you dont like the way he acts then go and watch table tennis or something.
