Taylor/Abraham was boring as **** until the last 30 seconds of the 12th rounds. This is meant to settle who the best fighter at 168 is, not who the most exciting fighter at 168 is. Some styles will make for bad fights. In a 6 man round robin those are bound happen.

Right there I see that you do have a bias. If someone slips once I can understand. He was on canvas many times. It was rather obvious, no?

Dirrell did not deserve point deducted for holding, even though he held all the freaking time? I think a better argument can be made that he should have been DQed. He was pathetic and held and ran all the time.

You are given Dirrell too much credit by saying all night. He literally ran and held all night. I agreed when he did punch, he connected. But he did is so sparsely. I am not questioning his skills. Just the style, which creates extremely boring fights and does not belong on this event.

I am not saying Froch was great. Just that Dirrell made the fight boring by running and hugging and falling all night.

I am not saying Dirrell is not skilled or bad. I said he is skilled. Just that he makes for extremely boring fights, and these do not belong in this tournament. We don't need to watch Ruiz II in one of the most exciting boxing events of the decade.

Like I said, I agree Froch did not look great. But he tried to make it interesting fight, while Dirrell tried (and successfully accomplished) making this a snooze fest and boring millions of people. That's why he simply does not belong here or on any TV fight. There are so many exciting fighters, why bring this guy in to bore people to death? Showtime sure missed a mark on this one.

I don't agree with all of the OP, but all in all, I wish either Bute or Dawson was in Dirrell's spot.

:patsch We know...Sure did Froch has been working on his take down with that killer Judo throw! Or what about his muay thia style when he would hit him in the back of the hear or hit him after the break.

Yeah you seem to forget about that while you're just singling out Dirrell...Froch was no ****ing angel dude...He's just as guilty!

A judo throw is more exciting though than hugging in Greeco-Roman style wrestling, wouldn't you agree. I think we both know who made this fight boring as hell.

Look, some fights are more exciting, some fights are less exciting, everyone understand that. But Dirrell took word boring to new level. If AA-JT fight was boring as ****, then Dirrell turned his fight into actual ****. Like I said, spoon of **** in bucket of honey. Too bad.
