Froch and Abraham were perfect for Dirrell, stylistically. I think Ward has a big edge on Dirrell stylistically and is a straight up better fight.

I don't think the fear is of punchers, but of losing. He had reason to be confident against Froch and Abraham, but shouldn't, and probably wouldn't, have that same confidence against Ward.

We are talking about if he can fight on, therefore would pass tests, which means he doesn't have ****ing brain damage.

Whitaker wasn't no, so he never became a star. Mayweather was at one point but it's his personality which draws.

Dirrell is not marketable which is why nobody knew of him before the Super 6, he draws the least of all Super 6 fighters and is least likely to get a contract after the Super 6, apart from Green and, probably, Bika.

    You're an odd person.

Have you forgotten your own argument?! You're all over the place. I'm saying it didn't hurt Valero's image and it didn't.

Pro-brawler stance because I'm against Dirrell?

Listen, I don't even like watching brawlers. Some of my favourite fighters to watch are guys like Harold Johnson, Ray Leonard, Alexis Arguello, Archie Moore - Proper boxers. You can say "Oh, you dislike Dirrell, so you musn't like boxers" but that's absolute bull****. Dirrell isn't even close to being a good boxer at all. He's a slick fighter who runs excessively.

That's just ignorant from you, seriously. Going from my post which is slightly anti-Dirrell to making this absolutely ignorant remark that I'm pro-brawler. You couldn't be further from the truth.

Did I miss something? Has there been some valid source (other then Shaw) saying that he's experiencing symptoms related to a brain injury? I honestly just thought this was some bs stunt to prevent him from getting another L on his record.

I will concede, when you think about it, it's a bad excuss to make if you're thinking about your future cred with fans.

I do aswell but its meaningless. There would be no reason to fear Andre Ward other then being outboxed. And even then it would not be embarrassing there is no way Andre is going to do Dirrell like he did Kessler and Green.

Sorry that doesnt make sense. I know when you say it to yourself it does but when you actually write it down for everyone to see, it doesnt.

Dirrell had never fought Froch and Abraham before, he was supposed to get knocked out, there is more obscurity fighting them then there would be fighting a guy you've already been in the ring with several times.

His post was perfectly logical to what you had written previously in your response

What? The Froch fight wasn't a stinker unless you count the officiating. Dirrell has grown and showed as much in the AA fight. Dubios win? He kicked AA's can the whole fight! Awful personality? What do you know of him? Nothing. Most elite fighters? He beat Froch. Who would beat him? AA? Nope. "Long Count" Bute? Nope. Kessler? Nope. The only person who is favored to beat him now is his childhood friend Ward. Dirrell was a nobody coming into this tournament. If his health checks out HBO and Showtime will take notice.

You called his win over Abraham "dubious" failing to mention he was robbed in England and you still want to be taken seriously. :rofl

Its clear that YOU'RE an odd person.

It was'nt a robbery,Dirrell gave it away by running, throwing too few punches, throwing himself on the floor, holding on etc.You obviously don't understand fully how judges score rds.The fight WAS a stinker, for the first 5 rds Dirrell didnt do anything at all and Froch was just chasing him trying to get him to engage,he only woke up in the last 3rds and when he did he looked great but that doesn't win a fight.

It's sad to think that people can get so caught up in the drama of the sport that they cannot distinguish between the theatre that is presented through the online boxing rags and reality. Since there are no links I can't say if this is true, but the second an official response comes out that states he's having neurological issues I won't question it.

They would have had to have done and MRI on him. But usually in cases like this an MRI would not show anything. I bet Toney or Hearns or any other fighter who has had a long careeer, their brain on an MRI now would look the same as when they started fighting. It is very subtle I would think.

We aren't talking about fear of him being knocked out, it's the fear of losing which is important.

If Dirrell wants to make money, he has to be on HBO or Showtime. No other TV network can make him rich.

HBO has very little to do with the 168lb division and want Bute to move up instead of fighting the top 168lbers. Besides that, HBO have already black listed Dirrell, so we know that he isn't ever going to appear on HBO. Even if they were interested in the division and decided to rethink about Dirrell, would they give him another shot with two losses and one big win in his career? Of course not.

As for Showtime, if Dirrell loses he would become the least marketable fighter of the Super 6, along with Green. Ward would be the American hope, so favoured ahead of Dirrell. Froch and Abraham are always going to give you a good fight, so would be chosen ahead of Dirrell, especially if Abraham beats Froch. If Kessler and Taylor return, both would be chosen over Dirrell too.

That's all IF he lost to Ward. Sure, it's hypothetical but I'm very confident Ward would win and, if he did, it would effectively end Dirrell's career or at least postpone his money making years.

I don't think Dirrell should fear punches. I can understand why he would fear losing. He is in a position where if he lost, unlike Ward, his career is probably over.

His logic is that a 225 lb man hitting a naturally <200 lb man is going to do a lot more damage than hitting another 225 lb'r. Just like If I hit a kid it would do a lot more damage to the kid then someone my own size. I don't think people realize just how much harder heavyweights hit.

exactly, and if you guys honestly think that either one truly believes the other is better than they are I think you are ignorant/not a very competitive person yourself. You don't get to that level of sport thinking any of your prime competition is better than you, these guys just aren't wired that way. If anything I'd expect Dirrel to want it more than Ward anyway because Ward is getting all the props and would much rather keep fighting cavemen and hearin those overhyped SRL comparisons then being involved in a potential stinker with a friend.

Look you can say you think he would have gotten knocked out if the fight continued, but calling it a dubious win is ******ed. Maybe he should start fighting before the last 3 rds if he wants to not have to pull **** out of his ass.

And maybe you should call the ignorant ******* AA the cheater seeing as he blatantly clipped a down man. Crawl back to your ****ing hole and don't let your hatred for America blind your eyes from reality you goon.
