Calzaghe was ducked by Hopkins in 2002 and then beat him in 2008, fairly easy judgement there I would have thought :deal

Dirrell beating Calzaghe's ass is a lot more believable than Froch comparing himself to ATGs! After all the **** talking Froch has done over the last few weeks, it's hard to believe Dirrell is now being painted as the trash talker.

if you want to talk like a baby on here you wont last long.
just talk from the hip and ill do the same.

the mental part of boxing is everything. calzaghe waited until jones and hopkins were on the downturn before overcoming his 'fear of flying' before fighting them.

it fits with the rest of his career, though he deserves props for the lacy and kessler fights, even though neither have proved themselves since.

Even more of a dickhead now, he's failed the 1st weight at the weigh in. He's got 2 hours to make weight - 7:21 pm GMT

When froch knocks him out he will then realise that calzaghe is in another league.

Think you got that a bit backwards there mr bad. nearly every time calzaghe was peparing for a fight, people were all over the forums saying that the guy had his number... then he beat them. usually handily. the criticism will alwaysremain about his resume admitedly but e did fight some good quality fighters. other than a prime b-hop or jones, there aren't really any others to write home about. Toney at that weight was a bit before joe's time. Johnson would have been a good name to add but i honestly don't think joe would have had too much trouble with him. pavlik was never gonna happen especially once bhop got to him and Dawson only really made a name as joe was retiring

its an easy judgment if you avoid primes and why hopkins had the choice to pull out of the 2002 fight.

Sorry fella i just get so bloody frustrated with the broken record mentality of some people on here. calzaghe is in his late 30's too. It's not like he is a Pavlik or taylor who fought a fella over 10 years their senior. i have a feeling that neither parties (joe/jones/b-hop) wanted any part of each other until recently. Prime fights with these lot would have been enormous. Calzaghe is extremely strong mentally. Give kessler some slack though. the guy was kept innactive cos he had the balls to front up to his promoter. He's done the right thing and i hope it benefits him
