Andre Dirrell - "I would beat Calzaghes ass"

I don't think even us brits paint Froch as an angel, most of us think he is a dick as well but it just seems when an American fighter gets all cocky and acts a dick the Americans don't see it as a problem but if Froch and Haye get cocky after achieving dominance in there respective divisions the Americans are quick to jump on them and start hating.

Dirrell's getting a bit above himself isn't he. At least Froch is a World Champion and was mandatory for Calzaghe so Froch has a little more right to make comments than this unproven muppet. Let's see how he does tommorow before he starts making disparaging remarks about Calzaghe who has proven himself beyond reasonable question at SMW.

 

To me, the video is just typical "young guy who hasn't really REALLY been tested thinking he's better than he might be". I say it like that, because he just MIGHT be that good, I just don't know yet.

I'm confused as to why when people talk about Calzaghe not beating anyone notable outside of their prime, that they bring up B-Hop. I mean, this is the same B-Hop that went on to SERVE Pavlik who is well in his prime. It's not like B-Hop is completely over the hill or something...

 

I hope to **** Froch really punishes this big-mouthed idiot.

 

Prime Jones v Prime Calzaghe is no certainty for a start, RJ would be favourite though.

and of course Calzaghe would clearly beat Dirrell who is a bit deluded

 

BTW, having Froch and Dirrell in this tournament will at least liven it up in the pre fight build ups. The other 4 are all too nice and gentlemanly. I'm still leaning towards Dirrell for the upset.

 

Wouldnt shock me ether. After all , he is alot younger , fresher, hungrier. A fighter in his late 30's doesnt want to fight a guy in his 20's . Not if he can help it. Frcoh has the power to hurt Dirrell. Calzaghy does not.

 

hopkins may have been past his prime but he's still top 3 p4p and severly embarrased the guy in your avatar.

as far as lacy goes, i can guarantee that you were sure he was going to beat calzaghe going into the fight, and wasn't seen as a grade b brawler when calzagfhe fought him, he was the next big thing in american boxing.

and jones was well past it, but that was a retiurment payday.
