that win over abraham , even if it was a dq(dirrell was comfortably ahead) was better than any win on bute's resume. not to mention he is vastly younger than bute.

Or maybe he's on to something huge. Call up a presser. No jinxing it, so Tweeter - out!

King Arthur was tagging him more so in the late rounds than the rest of the fight. He was getting into a certain rhythm, too little too late. But Dirrell could have suffered legit abrahits in the 12th for the upset. :D

Froch-Dirrell tells us Dirrell doesn't have enough power to be respected to the point of changing gameplans. Mind you Froch's got a good beard, but it's not like he came close to putting AA out either. For any guy who's got an average chin, he's just extremely annoying.

:nono a win over AA at 168 is a joke win for me. He does not belong at 168.

Sorry to be the third to say it, but you're wrong. Abraham at 168 is not a top win.

Bute does not have a win remotely as good as this. Sorry if Abraham is **** in your book. What does that say about the coat racks Bute has been fighting?

I was a fan of Dirrell until he pulled out of the fight against Ward (which was going to be an all-time classic match-up). **** him. He can get in line after that ****.

What fight were you watching. In the later rounds Dirrell decided to mix it up with Froch in the middle of the ring instead of sticking and moving like he had been doing all night. In those late center-ring exchanges, Dirrel hurt Froch TWICE and had him backing up in pain.

Froch and Dirrel are not in the same league, Dirrel easily won 9 rounds of that fight.

With the benefit of hindsight the win is not a great one but it's still a very good win.

Before the fight most people favoured AA to win it all.

There's only one Andre at super middleweight who can beat Bute, and it isn't this one.

Mods should edit the headline and OP. Dirrell never said anything about fighting Bute. It's wishfull thinking only.

Direll being "vastly younger" is a major advantage for Bute cause he is near to his peak and yet rising.

In the match with Abraham , Direll could have lost very well also.

If that match is better performance than all of Bute`s why Ring and majority of rankings have Bute 2 and Direll 5?

See first how stands Abraham against Andrade and talk after.Right now Ring, Dan Rafael and others give the edge to the Mexican.
