We don't know how much these promoters take from these fighters, I know Andre will do what's best for him and his family, I think he is pretty tight with Floyd so I'm sure Floyd will give him some pointers

He wants Bute in Detroit, and refuses to go to Canada.:huh Dirrell could not fill a high school gym in Detroit. Lucian is a superstar in Montreal.

To be fair, shaw didn't do **** to promote the AA fight around here and I think it still got 8000 to 10000 in there, not bad

    This is a bit disgusting.

Especially when in the talk up for his last fight he was NOTICEABLY slurring his speech showing signs of punch drunken-ness.

Boxing's greatest asset and liability are its fans! :bart

On tv, it looked half empty and those were some of the expensive seats. If they did fight there, 90% would be Canadians driving there. I still don't see this fight happening, especially in Detroit.

I was there and go to Joe Louis regularly for hockey games, with a hockey rink in there Joe Louis seats around 20 to 22k, with the ice rink removed there is that many more seats. Was the place sold out? Nope but there had to of been 8,000 or 9,000 there. And like I said, there was little or no promotion for that fight, just word of mouth. Shaw didn't do ****, if I was Andre I would be pissed giving him a cut for doing what seems to be next to nothing

Please don't join Top Rank, and the fact that he let go Haymon as well is not making me feel better as Arum don't like Haymon.

People in the D will come out for major events like that. Ford Field would make for a great major boxing event as long as it was marketed so. What Shaw & King did with Bradely-Alexander was pathetic. That fight was moved around too much before going to the Silver Dome at the last second.

Dirrell jumped ship too soon. He and his family are mistaken about their reappearence on Showtime and recent Bute talks as though they're in the drivers seat as a wanted commodity. The reality is Haymon was making those things happen. It actually looks like a tragic mistake on behalf of the Dirrells.
