Andre Dirrell should easily beat Ward

I love all you guys. Ward feather fisted? yeah ok. Well how about Dirrel is china-chinned? That basically nullifies your bull**** analysis (even if it was true which its not). Please go watch Handshaw/Dirrel, then go watch Froch/Dirrel. See how uncomfortable he is when the pressure is on? He doesnt know what to do except try to hold and run. This is not going to save him with ward.

 

Still a little buthurt it seems from what ward did to your boy kessler? Yeah I would want dirrel to win too. lolz. Don't worry, after this fight I will make sure to bring this thread back up.

 

Your correct that Ward has not faced anyone as slick as Dirrell. Your line of thinking can be applied to the opposite side as well. If Dirrell can lose rounds to a guy that fights like a drunken boxing bear(froch) is there at least a possibility that Ward's more educated pressure will prove effective? Ward is a legit gold medalist and the craftiest technician I've seen since Hopkins. I don't think he will be confused easily and fold like a lawn chair. If dirrell wins he will need to walk through hell in order to do so and I don't think he will outclass anyone on the way.

 

I just hope it's not Dirrell-Stevens part two.

 

I could care less that he beat a past it Kessler. I didn't like Ward before that fight, and simply dislike him. I still wouldn't be ignorant enough to pick Dirrell just because I don't care for Ward.

Take in mind these are two very mutual friends (not saying they hang out w/ each other on their free times) having to fight each other. And they've known each other since the 2004 Olympics. Ward moved up to Lt. Hvywt. to make room for Dirrell at SMW (which speaks of the confidence Ward had in his skills and winning ability) and still got Gold.

I dont 'expect' Ward to use his normal subtle rough-style fighting to mentally break down Dirrell. But then again, you never know lol. He'll do what is needed to win, because thats who he is.

This could be Ward's most dangerous fight to date because his opponent DOES know him very well, what he can do and what he cant do. But on the same time, Ward knows the same back on Dirrell. Who can make the adjustments the best? Ward's proven he's a Style Chameleon (thanks Escopeto)

Lol, nah, thats not going to happen. Exactly what is there to expose? The only negative is not even in his boxing skills - expose him that he's a hype job? Ahhh no, he's definitely not, though he is tailor made for the media.

Ward SD/UD the way I see it.

 

Dirrell obviously has the most skills after Ward.
However I can see Dirrell cracking if Ward decides to fight him ala Green.

Who is faster by the way? Both are pretty damn fast. Dirrell seems to be more fluent with his punching though.

I hope Ward doesnt get away with murder again though. The kid has got to watch his head. I can see Dirrell complaining enough about it to make the refs finally call it though.

I don't think Ward has the pop that abraham and Froch had, I bet we see more of dirrell fighting a bit on the inside in this fight in and out a lot.

 

Dirrell is definitely faster. And yeah, somebody really needs to do something about ward's butting. It needs to be brought up

 

It's only ignorant if you bet money on the fight for that reason. Dirrell is no bum.

 

Dirrell has the reach and speed to keep Ward at a distance.
