Of course I did. If I am a fan of someone, even if they change their style, I'll still be a fan. That's the same with other sports too, such as football. My football team played ugly, unattractive football for years and yet I followed them throughout that. In boxing, lets say someone like Sergio Martinez starts to feel his age and can't use his feet, if he starts fighting ugly fights, I'll still support him because that's what being a fan is all about.
Whatever. Lets hope he gets some courage. Seriously doubt it. Normal boxing fan like to see a fight. Simples. The only silly thing is having a debate on an internet forum and expect it to be a science class. Your problem not mine. At the end of the day, you like to see a coward 'fight'. Fair enuff. You and two other guys can all be his fan all you like. Don't think what you write can get any him any respect. Most people can see what a chicken **** he is. *shrug*
I think every englishman was a fan of haye when he was a cruiser. Hard to escape the hype. however the wasy he fought against valuev and wlad is of the same "science" as andre fought against Froch. In many other fights dirrell has fought a more exciting fight, the most high profile being AA. I would accept the size difference as a valid excuse if Haye didn't still maintain he'd rip everyone's head of.
Because Holyfield is more of a warrior than Haye is. However, you can't hold Holyfield up as the example. He's a one in a million fighter and very, very few smaller fighters moving up have fought like Holyfield did. Michael Spinks was an awesome light heavyweight and a proud fighter but look at him against Tyson. Not everyone can be Evander Holyfield. To use him as an example is bizarre because it's unlikely there's be another of him in the next 30 years.
where did I say I like to see him fight? I said I appreciate his speed and accuracy but point to where I said I like to see him fight. most people also judge a man based on his career, not one fight. Or is duran a chicken **** because I've only ever seen him against Leonard in the rematch?
eh? what is your point? Dirrell ain't entertaining. His style stinks. If I want to watch running, I'll watch athletics.
Haye isn't the first fighter to exaggerate to sell a fight and he won't be the last. The difference between Dirrell against Abraham and Froch, and Haye against Wlad and Valuev, is that Dirrell was the bigger man in both of his fights. Haye was outweighed by a combined 131lbs and a combined 9" shorter. Aside from that, he had a broken hand in one fight.
Umm Michael Spinks upset Larry Holmes. Spinks TKO'd Gerry Cooney who outweighed him by 30lbs. He fought Tyson the way he fought Tyson because it was ****ing Tyson. Tyson was only 5'10 himself. Poor example.
direll will pressure kessler like he did on froch and ktfo him in 2nd round.then will ko bute in 1st,then ward before entering the ring, then pac and fmj at the same time by bashing their heads toghether, the the klitschko brothers on the phone. then will replace obama and save us from collaps
No. I think Kessler gets a bigger ass whipping then he got against Ward. Ward outboxed Kessler easily from the outside. Dirrell is taller, longer and faster then Ward. Whereas Froch is awkward and lanky, Kessler is very conventional. I doubt Kessler lays a hand on Dirrell the entire fight.
Dirrell is my favorite fighter at 168 right now, followed by Froch, then Kessler, then Johnson, then Ward. Dirrell is an outside boxer thats his style. How many of you jumped for joy when he put Abraham on his ass, that was awesome.
