    Dgeale won on my scorecard but dam He almost blew it, need more ring IQ or at least experience looked like amateur boxing a few times.

    Not really. Dirrell had momentum going into the 11th, but blew it. Plus if DeGale pressuring him (Which i couldn't understand why he did more often) then could've easily stopped him. 114-112 is fair. The first 4 rounds + 2KDs to DeGale = 6 points ahead and then the last two rounds for DeGale. James won fair and square even though, he almost blew it. :bbb

    Ya that one was a bit wide. But overall when you look at the record of house fighters vs opponents when the fights have been competitive the right man has one. The Jamie McDonnell fight was fair. The Quillin vs Lee fight was fair. And this fight was fair. Good stuff.

    Wow. Does nobody still use the conventional definition of the word "fix" in boxing?

    A fixed fight is one in which everybody agrees on the outcome beforehand.

    A robbery is when the judges, due to either ineptitude or corruption/bribery, score it against the guy who rightly won.

    Two different things.

    In the former, the loser is complicit. (you saw a lot more proper "fixes" in the early 20th century when the mafia ruled boxing)

    In the latter, he is a victim.

    While DeGale did well to win the title he also showed some clear vulnerabilities. His lack of stamina would cost him dearly against Froch had they ever fought. We all know Froch finishes strongly and I can't see DeGale being able to deal with the late pressure from Froch.
