Degale aint got no chance with the judges in USA Hearns ****ed him up, by him losing the purse bid Degale will always be known as James Defail
DeGale looks pretty invincible lately. I'd favour him. But I haven't watched a full Dirrell fight for a long time so it may not be a good guess.
The fight location makes a massive difference. If the fight had of been in the UK, no doubt at all, that Degale would win, but with the fight in the USA... I still favour Degale, but it may be slightly closer. I think it may be a very non action tentative fight where neither really commits, but favour Degale
It's a hard choice I would of picked Dirrel if it was the Dirrel of the Super6 but it's not. Dirrel has been very inactive and when he has fought he hasn't looked all that great. Degale since the loss to Groves has been coming I it seems like it has motivated him. This fight is going to make and break both of these fighters.
To be honest I've not been overly impressed by DeGale, I don't see him as the next Froch or Calzaghe. He's a little flat footed, he's sometimes sloppy and he tries to do what I can only assume is a variation of the shoulder roll but he just sits there and gets hit while trying to tuck up behind his shoulder. He has an ugly style, Froch made it work for him but I don't think DeGale will. As for Dirrell, you have to question his commitment due to his inactivity after the AA fight. But for me he's still the most naturally gifted super middle, his speed is on another level to DeGale's. I had him beating Froch and I think he will win clearly on points.
:huh uh wasn't he hit while he was down genius ? Most fighters get DQ'ed if that happens I believe that's a universal rule .
Dirrell. Should be a really good fight this one but Dirrell wins on points comfortably in a fight that is competitive all the way through. 2 good boxers but Dirrell is a bit better. He can crumble because he cant seem to recover from big shots well but cant see Degale tagging him with anything.
