Andre Dirrell vs Lucian Bute

I don't think there is a lot of people thinking Bute gets rid of Dirrell easily.

Tough to call.

Bute KO, Dirrell just not that good

 

This is a fight I would love to see!

Kinda on leaning towards Dirrell on this one...I think with his movement and handspeed would give Bute some problems...Bute can crack so I think Dirrell will fight him with cautious...Dirrell would probably set up traps and walk him into his punches.

I havent Bute in with a fighter like Dirrell so I dont know how Bute would handle the speed and movement of Dirrell.

As of now, I would pick Dirrell by UD.

 

Bute is more proven atleast, Dirrel so far lost to a man ppl call zombie and then looked to be in dangerous water before the illegal KO va AA

 

Tough fight to call for me. There are a lot of ways I could see it going. Dirrell would have a pretty significant reach advantage, and I'm not sure how well Bute would be able to trap him in close.

 

Dirrell would outbox him. I don't think Bute could beat Froch or Abraham either.

 

Bute stops Dirrell's legs with bodywork and gets a late KO, imo.

Dirrell just doesn't have the tools to beat him, maybe if he brings his A++ game he would get a decision.

Bute has more power than both. Better skills than both. Comparable chin, maybe worse. How would either beat him?

 

I wouldn't be shocked if this fight got made.

If Dirrell loses to Ward which is entirely possible, he is most likely out of the Super 6. He'll probably be tied at 2 points with Froch assuming Froch loses to Abraham. And while the tiebreakers haven't been publicized, one would think that based upon Froch's victory over Dirrell, that Froch would move on. Also, will Showtime really want to do back to back Ward-Dirrell fights assuming Ward wins and finishes first?

If Dirrell holds his own against Ward while losing, I think matching him up with Bute would be a natural fight. It would be the biggest fight that could be made at 168 (barring Bute-Pavlik) not including the other Super 6 guys still in the tournament.

 

Bute can move with Direll! AA could't and you see what happens!

It could be a really intersting fight! But i'm sure Bute will be the one getting with the W!

I think that Bute is a better counter puncher even if Direll is a little faster. Bute got a Timing+power combo that could make the matrix think a little.....and Direll with all is naturals abilities is not smarter then Bute in a ring.

 

Yeah, I hate how since dirrell is a fighter who likes to stay on his bike and use his jab, switching stance etc people think he is somehow a brainier fighter in the ring. He is not a fighter with a high ring IQ, he is not a true technician. He makes plenty of errors that will get him KTFO against a faster, more skilled opponent.
